clone-section

clone-section is a skill for Claude Code from SoraiaBarroso/miromiro-mcp. It costs 63 tokens per session (737 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A skill for rebuilding a section of a live website as component code, such as a hero area, pricing table, footer, or navigation bar. It extracts the original page's actual styles, fonts, spacing, colours, and text before producing the component.

In plain words
What is it for?
Cloning a website section into Tailwind, JSX, or Vue code, selecting the correct section from a live page, and representing repeated items such as pricing tiers as reusable data-driven components.
Why use it?
It reduces guesswork when recreating part of a website and helps preserve the original design details instead of approximating them from a screenshot.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00063 $0.00737
Opus 5 $0.00032 $0.00368
Sonnet 5 $0.00013 $0.00147
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00074

Security

Grade A, and why

clone-section scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 63 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Rebuild a section from a live site

Use the extract_code tool. It resolves the page's real CSS cascade and returns a self-contained component with the site's true colors, fonts, spacing and copy, so you adapt real values instead of guessing from a screenshot.

Picking the section

Call extract_code with just the url first. It auto-detects the hero and — this is the part worth using — returns a sections array listing every extractable section on the page with a human-readable label and a ready-to-use selector.

When the user wants a specific part ("their pricing table", "the footer"), read sections from that first response, find the matching entry, and call again with its selector. Guessing a selector like .pricing wastes a call; the sections list already has the real one.

Choosing the framework

Match the user's project, don't default blindly:

  • tailwind (default) — Tailwind utility classes in the markup
  • jsx — a React component; pass name to set the component name. Repeated structures (tiers, cards, list items) come back as one template plus a const items = […] array rendered with .map() — use the data array, don't re-expand it.
  • vue — a single-file component with <script setup>; name applies here too, and repeated structures collapse into a v-for the same way
  • html — plain HTML plus a companion css string

For every framework, the css field may also carry the section's @keyframes — add those to the project's global stylesheet or the animations silently do nothing.

If the repo you are working in already uses one of these, use it without asking.

When a result comes back thin

The API reads static HTML and CSS by default, and the response tells you how it went: summary.styledCoverage (0-100) is the percentage of elements the CSS cascade resolved styles for, and when the page is client-rendered or styles itself at runtime the response includes a hint field saying what to do. When you see the hint (or coverage is low), call again with render: true — it runs the page in a real browser so its JavaScript executes first. It is slower and costs 5 extra credits, so treat it as the retry, not the default.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
