ConfigManBearPig: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/grill-me/SKILL.md

grill-me is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from SpecterOps/ConfigManBearPig. It costs 50 tokens per session (225 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

An interview process for examining a plan or design by asking detailed questions one at a time until the decisions and open issues are understood.

In plain words
What is it for?
Stress-testing a technical plan or design, exploring its alternatives, and resolving questions by inspecting the codebase when possible.
Why use it?
It helps reveal missing requirements, unclear choices, and dependent decisions before implementation begins.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents).

This is SpecterOps/ConfigManBearPig's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on ConfigManBearPig itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything ConfigManBearPig configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00050 $0.00225
Opus 5 $0.00025 $0.00112
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00045
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00022

Security

Grade A, and why

grill-me scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Interview me relentlessly about every aspect of this plan until we reach a shared understanding. Walk down each branch of the design tree, resolving dependencies between decisions one-by-one. For each question, provide your recommended answer.

Ask the questions one at a time.

If a question can be answered by exploring the codebase, explore the codebase instead.

Why this file exists separately

This skill used to live as a second YAML frontmatter block inside .agents/skills/openhound/SKILL.md. A skill loader reads the first frontmatter block in a file and ignores the rest, so grill-me never resolved — and because a missing skill degrades to "no instructions" rather than an error, every agent asked to use it silently improvised instead. One skill per file.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

grill-me is a skill published in the GitHub repository SpecterOps/ConfigManBearPig (148 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 50 tokens to every session and 225 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
