Solar-wind magnetic turbulence spectrum
A guided, end-to-end version of the classic IDL SPEDAS "wave/turbulence crib sheet":
take a magnetic-field interval and characterize its fluctuation power vs. frequency.
It chains existing unified + analysis tools — there is no dedicated "turbulence"
tool, and there should not be; the value is in the procedure and the interpretation.
For PVI, intermittency event tables, or third-order-law/energy-transfer prerequisites,
load solar-wind-turbulence-intermittency alongside this spectrum skill.

energy-transfer/cascade-rate work (10.3847/1538-4365/ab5dae), start with this
skill but keep the claim level explicit:
- Smoke/proxy run: a narrow MAG RTN 1-minute + SWEAP/SPC interval may be
enough to prove the data route, artifact bundle, and provenance. Label it
cached_smokeorrepresentative_proxy, notpaper_quality. - Derived breadcrumbs: PVI, rolling variance, simple PSD slopes, vector
increments, and
delta z/third-order-law teaching proxies are useful for orientation. Record cadence, lag, normalization, fit band, and sample counts. - Paper-quality escalation: switch to the cadence/product used by the paper, isolate stationary intervals, handle gaps/fill values, and document the Taylor-hypothesis / plasma-moment assumptions before reporting cascade rates.
- Event output: when PVI or switchback thresholds are used, write an event table next to the PNG so the result is reviewable and reusable.
