What is storybook-setup?

A setup skill for creating working Storybook preview files and stories for existing components. Storybook is a development tool that displays UI components in isolation.

Use it when a project already has Storybook and you need stories that preview its real components.

It prevents setup instructions from being applied when Storybook is missing or too old. It ensures the required project version and setup process are checked first.

Confirm Storybook exists (package.json, .storybook/). If not, switch to /storybook-init.
Storybook must be at least 10.5 (or next while 10.5 is not yet released). If it is older, or upgrade/repair is needed first, switch to /storybook-upgrade.

Run npx storybook ai setup from the project root (or the Storybook package in a monorepo).
