ty-nps-library-modeling

ty-nps-library-modeling is a skill for Codex from Suzhou-Tongyuan/sysplorer-mcp-server. It costs 133 tokens per session (1,358 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for building and checking Sysplorer models with the built-in NPSLibrary, a commercial library for power electronics, motor drives, electrical sources, protection, and load-flow systems.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to build, repair, validate, review, and package power-electronics, motor-drive, source-network, fault-protection, and load-flow models.
Why use it?
It gives library-specific guidance for choosing components, connecting them, repairing errors, and validating the finished model. It is meant for requests that explicitly require NPSLibrary or a Sysplorer commercial library.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00133 $0.01358
Opus 5.5 $0.00053 $0.00543
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00027 $0.00272
Haiku 4.5 $0.00013 $0.00136

Security

Grade A, and why

ty-nps-library-modeling scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 19d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 6 executable files (scripts/doc_to_md.py, scripts/init_modeling_project.py, scripts/pdf_to_md.py, …), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

TY NPS Library Modeling

Use this only as a thin domain add-on to ty-sysplorer-modeling-rules. The parent skill owns routing, seven gates, layout timing, repair loop, and delivery evidence.

Minimal Reading

All references/... and workflows/... paths in this skill are relative to this skill directory (the folder that contains this SKILL.md), not the workspace root or any parent skills/ directory.

Tool Boundary

  • Use Sysplorer MCP for graphical modeling, model creation, component insertion, wiring, parameter placement decisions, check_model, translate_model, simulate_model, result opening, and model-file lifecycle.
  • Use Syslab MCP only for script execution, algorithm validation, data processing, or Julia/Python/M-language style computation that is explicitly part of the task.
  • Do not mix Syslab MCP into ordinary Sysplorer graphical modeling tasks unless the request explicitly includes script-side algorithm verification.
  • Do not copy Syslab error-handling habits into Sysplorer API modeling. Fix the Sysplorer invocation path itself.

Search Order

  1. Read references/nps_component_quick_index.md for high-frequency component paths.
  2. Check Sysplorer 2026a\Docs\EleLib\Samples\NPSLibrary when the user asks to reuse or reference an existing NPS example.
  3. Read references/component_fallback_strategy.md when Ground, Reference, Neutral, or related primitives are missing.
  4. Read references/sysplorer_api_usage.md when the task depends on NewModel, AddComponent, .mo parameter injection, or annotation handling.
  5. Use get_lib_model_document only after the quick index and samples path are not enough to resolve a concrete class.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ty-nps-library-modeling is a skill published in the GitHub repository Suzhou-Tongyuan/sysplorer-mcp-server (10 stars, last pushed 20d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 133 tokens to every session and 1,358 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-13.
