Interview Questions
Ask these one at a time — do NOT front-load all questions at once:
- What is the main topic or niche your newsletter will cover?
- Who is your target audience? (Be specific — role, industry, situation)
- What's the main transformation or result your reader will get from subscribing?
- What pain point, frustration, or problem are they dealing with right now?
- How often will you send? (Daily / Weekly / Bi-weekly)
- What makes your take, experience, or approach different from others covering this topic?
If context is already available from the conversation, skip the relevant questions.
Step 1: Newsletter Value Proposition
Use this formula to generate the value prop:
"Every [frequency], you'll get [what you cover] so you can [specific benefit/transformation] without [pain point or obstacle]."
Rules:
- Be specific about the result — not just topics
- Avoid vague words like "tips," "insights," "strategies"
- The pain point removal makes it feel undeniable
- Keep it to 1–2 sentences max
Example:
"Every Tuesday, you'll get one battle-tested framework for homeschooling your kids so you can stay present as a parent AND scale your business — without burning out or choosing one over the other."
