pre-call-script

pre-call-script is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from swan-gtm/gtm-skills. It costs 198 tokens per session (1,482 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A one-page sales call script for one named prospect. It uses the account's research, the contact's role, and their business target to shape the opening and reason for the call.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for preparing a short first call or follow-up call that aims to book a meeting, including a voicemail retry.
Why use it?
It prevents a sales representative from improvising or repeating an unsuitable pitch. It also accounts for prior contact, referrals, and whether the prospect should not be contacted.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00198 $0.01482
Opus 5 $0.00099 $0.00741
Sonnet 5 $0.00040 $0.00296
Haiku 4.5 $0.00020 $0.00148

Security

Grade A, and why

pre-call-script scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 108 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Use this when a rep is about to call one named person and needs the words. It produces a one-page script every line of which traces to a fact in that account's research.

It is the script for one named person on one call — not a reusable template, not a call-scoring rubric, not an email or LinkedIn sequence.

The whole call is 2–3 minutes and it sells the meeting, not the product. Anything discovery-grade stays out of the script.

Before you script

  1. Load the account research and the contact's role, tenure, and the KPI they were hired to move.
  2. Check the CRM for prior contact. A logged call makes this a follow-up — acknowledge the last conversation, lead with something new, do not restart the pitch.
  3. Check for a warm route: a referral, a mutual connection, a prior touch, an event. If one exists, it leads the opener and nothing else competes with it.
  4. If the contact is marked not-interested or already in an opportunity, stop and confirm with the rep before writing anything.
  5. On a second attempt or a conservative-industry prospect, open the matching reference before writing a line — the wrong frame is the most common way this script wastes a rare live connect.

Build the script

Opener — one or two sentences. With a warm route, name it first: the referrer, the connection, the shared context. Cold, it has to make the prospect feel this was researched, and it is about me inside the first breath. Never a greeting followed by a pitch. End on a question that invites more than yes or no.

Relevance frame — two to three sentences. Pick the one signal that most directly indicates movement on the KPI this person owns, and describe the problem it implies — accurately enough that they hear their own situation read back. Not a feature. Not the product. When two signals compete, rank by how directly each maps to a KPI this person owns; break a remaining tie toward the most recent, most time-bound one — it carries the most "why now". Expect two or three angles per persona before one lands. See references/worked-examples.md.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
