medicines-agency-statistics

medicines-agency-statistics is a skill for Claude Code from taivop/marketplace. It costs 30 tokens per session (345 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A downloader for State Agency of Medicines statistical yearbook PDFs, which contain yearly figures on medicines use, pharmacies, clinical trials, markets, and agency work.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to retrieve a selected yearbook, extract its tables and footnotes, and compare medicine or pharmacy statistics across editions.
Why use it?
It avoids manually finding the right edition and pulling tables, units, definitions, and notes from PDF files. It also flags that year-to-year comparisons may be misleading when definitions change.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00030 $0.00345
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00172
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00069
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00034

Security

Grade A, and why

medicines-agency-statistics scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Medicines Agency Statistical Yearbooks

Use when

  • You need annual medicines, pharmacy, clinical-trial, or agency activity statistics.
  • You need tables and definitions from a specific yearbook edition.

Avoid when

  • You need individual medicinal-product records; use medicines-register.

Endpoint

Workflow

  1. Parse PDF anchors from the yearbook index and extract the four-digit edition year from each label.
  2. Select the requested edition, resolve its relative URL against the index, and download the PDF.
  3. Extract tables with their section heading, units, footnotes, and edition year.
  4. Compare editions only after checking whether labels or definitions changed.

Access reality

  • Public HTML index and direct PDFs, verified 2026-07-14.
  • The index listed ten PDF publications, including annual editions from 2017 through 2025 and other statistical books.

Output schema expectations

  • Keep edition year, table/section title, original row and column labels, unit, value, footnotes, PDF URL, and retrieval timestamp.

Limits and caveats

  • The annual sequence has gaps on the English index.
  • PDFs mix narrative and tables; do not treat every number as a comparable indicator.

Verification hooks

  • Require a .pdf link with a yearbook label and four-digit year.
  • Require application/pdf and %PDF- before extraction.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
