muis-open-data

muis-open-data is a skill for Claude Code from taivop/marketplace. It costs 23 tokens per session (391 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A retrieval guide for MuIS, Estonia’s public museum-collection database, using RDF/XML data. RDF/XML is a structured format that describes objects and their links to people, places, events, museums, and media.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to retrieve museum objects, media, people or groups, thesaurus terms, events, places, and collection information.
Why use it?
It helps you collect linked museum records while preserving their identifiers, source URLs, labels, dates, and relationships. Some linked context requires separate requests.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00023 $0.00391
Opus 5 $0.00012 $0.00196
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00078
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00039

Security

Grade A, and why

muis-open-data scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

MuIS RDF

Access

Public RDF over HTTP at https://opendata.muis.ee/. No authentication. Request Accept: application/rdf+xml.

Retrieve

Known-valid object:

GET https://opendata.muis.ee/object/1522095
Accept: application/rdf+xml

Documented path families include:

  • /object/{museum-object-id}
  • /media-list/{museum-object-id}
  • /person-group/{subject-id}
  • /thesaurus/{thesaurus-id} and /thesaurus/{thesaurus-id}/{term-id}
  • /event/{event-id}
  • /place/{place-id}
  • collection, museum, and bulk object paths listed on the documentation page

Parse the RDF graph and follow linked resources only as needed. Use Accept-Encoding: gzip for documented bulk responses.

Return

Keep endpoint URL, entity type/ID, RDF predicates and object values needed by the question, labels/titles, museum/collection links, dates/periods, linked media/resources, and retrieval time. Preserve source IDs and URIs.

Limits

  • Not every numeric ID exists; /object/1 currently returns 404.
  • Linked entities require additional requests for full context.
  • RDF schema is available at https://opendata.muis.ee/rdf-schema/muis.rdfs and may be served as application/octet-stream despite containing RDF/XML.

Verify

Require HTTP 200, parseable XML, and RDF root {http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#}RDF. For the known object, require at least one RDF description/resource; a 404 or HTML body is not successful retrieval.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

muis-open-data is a skill published in the GitHub repository taivop/marketplace (17 stars, last pushed 9d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 23 tokens to every session and 391 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-04.
