mobile-session-security

mobile-session-security is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from TalissonVitorino/kmp-ios-skills. It costs 209 tokens per session (4,469 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

Guidance for protecting an existing signed-in session in Android and iPhone finance apps. It locks the app after inactivity or when it goes into the background, asks for biometric or passcode confirmation, and hides sensitive screens from screenshots and recent-app previews.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to implement idle timeouts, background and foreground locking, biometric or passcode re-authentication, screenshot blocking, and protection against sensitive app snapshots.
Why use it?
It reduces the chance that someone with an unattended or borrowed phone can view balances, card numbers, or tokens. It is for re-checking an existing session, not for initial sign-in.

Skill establishes unauthorized persistence across sessions via cron jobs, startup scripts, or state files. Session persistence allows an attacker to maintain access beyond the current interaction.
Fix: Remove any persistence mechanisms (cron jobs, startup scripts, state files). Skills should not maintain state across sessions without explicit user consent.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00209 $0.04469
Opus 5 $0.00105 $0.02235
Sonnet 5 $0.00042 $0.00894
Haiku 4.5 $0.00021 $0.00447

Security

Grade A, and why

mobile-session-security scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Mobile Session Security (KMP + iOS / Android)

Session-layer hardening for a fintech app: lock the session after inactivity or on background, force biometric/passcode re-auth to resume, and keep sensitive UI (balances, PANs, tokens) out of app-switcher snapshots and screen recordings. Grounded in AndroidX Lifecycle/BiometricPrompt, WindowManager, UIKit, and LocalAuthentication.

  • Secret storage / biometric-gated keys (iOS): swift-security (Keychain, LAContext, Secure Enclave).
  • Secret storage (Android/KMP): mobile-security (Keystore, setUserAuthenticationRequired).
  • Login / passkeys / OAuth: authentication. This skill covers re-auth of an existing session, not first sign-in.
  • Scene/process lifecycle plumbing: app-lifecycle. KMP boundary shape: expect-actual.

Contents

Threat model / fintech framing

  • Idle device left unlocked → someone else sees balances or moves money. Mitigation: inactivity auto-lock with re-auth.
  • App-switcher snapshot → the OS caches a screenshot of the last frame for the multitasking UI; a balance/PAN leaks there. Mitigation: hide sensitive UI on resign-active (iOS) / FLAG_SECURE (Android).
  • Screen recording / mirroring / AirPlay → exfiltrates whatever is on screen. Mitigation: FLAG_SECURE (Android, hard block) / UIScreen.isCaptured detect-and-hide (iOS, best-effort).
  • Compliance: idle re-auth and snapshot masking are expectations under PCI-DSS-adjacent mobile guidance and OWASP MASVS-STORAGE-2 (no sensitive data in backups/screenshots) and MASVS-AUTH. Treat them as required controls, not nice-to-haves.
  • Honest limits: the lock is a UX/defense-in-depth control, not a substitute for keeping secrets in the Keychain/Keystore (swift-security / mobile-security). A jailbroken/rooted device can bypass any client-side lock — gate the secret material on biometrics, not just a boolean.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
