website-builder

website-builder is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from teamniteo/hakuto. It costs 156 tokens per session (5,008 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A website-building skill that guides a project from an initial design conversation through a visual preview and a production-ready Astro website. Astro is a web framework used to build fast websites from reusable page components.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to build SaaS sites, landing pages, and other Astro websites through a guided design process. It also follows project-specific rules such as Tailwind CSS 4 and React's className syntax when those rules are present.
Why use it?
It gives the agent a structured way to resolve design gaps, choose a visual direction, and coordinate the writing, branding, typography, sections, and final review of a site.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00156 $0.05008
Opus 5 $0.00078 $0.02504
Sonnet 5 $0.00031 $0.01002
Haiku 4.5 $0.00016 $0.00501

Security

Grade A, and why

website-builder scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Website Builder

Generate production-ready websites through a design interview: read the brief, ask only about genuine gaps, propose distinct design directions, prove the chosen one with a style preview, then build. Coordinates with copywriting, brand, fonts, section, and audit skills.

Working Alongside CLAUDE.md

This skill is the orchestrator referenced by Hakuto's CLAUDE.md. Follow CLAUDE.md's "Mandatory Workflow" (the 7-step index.cssLayout.astro → Project Plan → Components flow) alongside this skill's design workflows. CLAUDE.md is always loaded; this skill adds the conversational, design-aware layer on top of that mechanical sequence.

When the two overlap, CLAUDE.md owns the how (which files to touch, what conventions to follow) and this skill owns the what (which direction, which content strategy, when to invoke siblings).

Technical Constraints

These rules are enforced by CLAUDE.md and apply to every page this skill produces. See CLAUDE.md for full details.

  • Tailwind CSS v4 — config lives in src/index.css via @theme {}, not tailwind.config.mjs (delete that file if present).
  • className (not class) on React/shadcn components<Button className="..."> is correct; <Button class="..."> is a TypeScript error. Native HTML in .astro keeps class.
  • Astro Fonts API for custom fontsexperimental.fonts (5.x) or top-level fonts (6+) in astro.config.mjs. Never use @import or @font-face for custom fonts. ALWAYS invoke the fonts skill when custom fonts are involved.
  • Cloudflare adapter imageService: "custom" with no image.service key, so Astro's sharp default survives. Both "compile" and "passthrough" replace sharp — "compile" does so despite the name.
  • <Picture> for local images, <img> for external URLs — local assets go through astro:assets for WebP/responsive widths. Unsplash and other external URLs use plain <img>.
  • Right-size every local imagewidth={W} widths={[W, W * 2]} sizes="…", all three: without widths Astro emits no srcset and the sizes is inert. Omit height unless a crop is intended — a pair that disagrees with the source ratio makes sharp crop.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
