A Telegram message deletion skill for removing one or more messages from a chat, either for everyone or only from your own view. It can first read a chat to find message IDs.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to delete selected Telegram messages, delete several message IDs at once, or find message IDs before removal.
Why use it?
It removes the need to handle Telegram deletion commands manually and supports the important choice between deleting for everyone and deleting only for yourself.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00030 $0.00529
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00264
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00106
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00053

Security

Grade A, and why

delete-messages scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

Delete Telegram Messages

Delete one or multiple messages from a chat. By default deletes for everyone.

Self-Evolving Skill: This skill improves through use. If instructions are wrong, parameters drifted, or a workaround was needed — fix this file immediately, don't defer. Only update for real, reproducible issues.

Preflight

  1. Session must exist: ~/.local/share/gramjs/<profile>.session
    • If missing, run /tlg:setup first

Usage

/usr/bin/env bash << 'EOF'
ROOT="$(cc-plugin-root tlg)"
SCRIPT="$ROOT/scripts/tg-cli.ts"

# Delete for everyone (default)
bun "$SCRIPT" delete <chat> <message_id>

# Delete multiple messages
bun "$SCRIPT" delete <chat> 12345,12346,12347

# Delete only for yourself
bun "$SCRIPT" delete <chat> <message_id> --self-only

# Find message IDs first
bun "$SCRIPT" read <chat> -n 10
EOF

Parameters

Parameter Type Description
chat string/int Chat containing messages
message_ids string Message ID(s), comma-separated
--self-only flag Delete only for yourself (default: for everyone)

Workflow

  1. Use read <chat> -n N to find message IDs
  2. Delete by ID: delete <chat> <ids>

Anti-Patterns

  • Cannot delete others' messages in private chats after 48 hours
  • Admin required to delete others' messages in groups

Post-Execution Reflection

After this skill completes, check before closing:

  1. Did the command succeed? — If not, fix the instruction or error table that caused the failure.
  2. Did parameters or output change? — If tg-cli.ts's interface drifted, update Usage examples and Parameters table to match.
  3. Was a workaround needed? — If you had to improvise (different flags, extra steps), update this SKILL.md so the next invocation doesn't need the same workaround.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
