Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |

Grade A, and why
context-save scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
This is a copy
86% identical to context-restore — 309 lines differ, which has more behind it and is treated as the original. This page carries a canonical link to it rather than competing with it.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 906 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
When to invoke this skill
Captures git state, decisions made, and remaining work so any future session can pick up without losing a beat. Use when asked to "save progress", "save state", "context save", or "save my work". Pair with /context-restore to resume later. Formerly /checkpoint — renamed because Claude Code treats /checkpoint as a native rewind alias in current environments, which was shadowing this skill.
Preamble (run first)
python "bin/gstack-boot.py" --skill context-save | iex
Plan Mode Safe Operations
In plan mode, allowed because they inform the plan: $B, $D, codex exec/codex review, writes to $env:USERPROFILE\.gstack/, writes to the plan file, and open for generated artifacts.
Skill Invocation During Plan Mode
If the user invokes a skill in plan mode, the skill takes precedence over generic plan mode behavior. Treat the skill file as executable instructions, not reference. Follow it step by step starting from Step 0; the first AskUserQuestion is the workflow entering plan mode, not a violation of it. AskUserQuestion (any variant — mcp__*__AskUserQuestion or native; see "AskUserQuestion Format → Tool resolution") satisfies plan mode's end-of-turn requirement. If no variant is callable, the skill is BLOCKED — stop and report BLOCKED — AskUserQuestion unavailable per the AskUserQuestion Format rule. At a STOP point, stop immediately. Do not continue the workflow or call ExitPlanMode there. Commands marked "PLAN MODE EXCEPTION — ALWAYS RUN" execute. Call ExitPlanMode only after the skill workflow completes, or if the user tells you to cancel the skill or leave plan mode.
If PROACTIVE is "false", do not auto-invoke or proactively suggest skills. If a skill seems useful, ask: "I think /skillname might help here — want me to run it?"
If SKILL_PREFIX is "true", suggest/invoke /gstack-* names. Disk paths stay $env:USERPROFILE\.claude/skills/gstack/[skill-name]/SKILL.md.
What ships with it
1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

context-save is a skill published in the GitHub repository thanh-abaii/gstack-windows-port (34 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 11 tokens to every session and 11,130 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. It is 86% identical to context-restore, differing in 309 lines, and is treated as a copy.
