off-page-sgeo

off-page-sgeo is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from The-AI-Directory-Company/agents-and-skills. It costs 48 tokens per session (4,948 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A plan for building a website or brand's reputation through links, mentions, digital public relations, communities, and other external channels. It also considers visibility in AI-generated answers.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan backlink campaigns, brand mentions, community participation, promotional outreach, and ways to measure external visibility.
Why use it?
It addresses the problem of relying only on changes to the website when search rankings and AI citations also depend on outside signals of credibility.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00048 $0.04948
Opus 5 $0.00024 $0.02474
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00990
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00495

Security

Grade A, and why

off-page-sgeo scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 7 executable files (scripts/analyze-competitor-authority.py, scripts/audit-platform-presence.py, scripts/check-backlink-profile.py, …), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Off-Page SGEO Authority

Before you start

Gather the following from the user. If anything is missing, ask before proceeding:

  1. What is the business domain and URL? (Primary website to build authority for)
  2. What is the current backlink profile? (Number of referring domains, domain authority/rating if known — check Ahrefs, Moz, or Semrush)
  3. Where does the brand already have presence? (LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube, Twitter/X, GitHub, industry forums — list all active accounts)
  4. What content assets are available for promotion? (Guides, free tools, original research, data studies, templates)
  5. Who are the main competitors? (3-5 domains that already have authority in your space)
  6. What is the budget for outreach and PR? (None, small <$500/mo, moderate $500-2000/mo, significant >$2000/mo)
  7. Is AI citation a priority? (Whether appearing in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini responses matters for the business)
  8. What is the industry/niche? (Determines which communities, publications, and platforms matter most)

Tool discovery

Before gathering project details, confirm which tools are available. Ask the user directly — do not assume access to any external service.

Free tools (no API key required):

  • WebFetch (fetch any public URL — robots.txt, sitemaps, pages)
  • WebSearch (search engine queries for competitive analysis)
  • Google PageSpeed Insights API (CWV data, no key needed for basic usage)
  • Google Rich Results Test (structured data validation)
  • Playwright MCP or Chrome DevTools MCP (browser automation)

Paid tools (API key or MCP required):

  • Google Search Console API (requires OAuth)
  • DataForSEO MCP (SERP data, keyword metrics, backlinks)
  • Ahrefs API (backlink profiles, keyword research)
  • Semrush API (competitive analysis, keyword data)

The agent must:

  1. Present this checklist to the user
  2. Record which tools are available
  3. Pass the inventory to scripts as context
  4. Fall back gracefully — every check has a free-tier path using WebFetch/WebSearch

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
