ab-test-analysis

ab-test-analysis is a skill for Claude Code from The-Utopia-Studio/skills. It costs 54 tokens per session (879 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of ab-test-analysis, Apache-2.0.

An A/B test analysis guide for comparing two versions of a product or experience. It checks experiment data, statistical significance, sample size, confidence intervals, and whether to ship, extend, or stop the test.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to analyze conversion rates and other experiment metrics from CSV, Excel, or analytics exports, calculate lift and p-values, and assess whether the test had enough statistical power.
Why use it?
It helps avoid treating random variation as a real improvement or making a decision from too little data. It also checks problems such as uneven traffic, short test duration, and sample ratio mismatch.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00054 $0.00879
Opus 5 $0.00027 $0.00439
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00176
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00088

Security

Grade A, and why

ab-test-analysis scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

A/B Test Analysis

Evaluate A/B test results with statistical rigor and translate findings into clear product decisions.

Context

You are analyzing A/B test results for $ARGUMENTS.

If the user provides data files (CSV, Excel, or analytics exports), read and analyze them directly. Generate Python scripts for statistical calculations when needed.

Instructions

  1. Understand the experiment:

    • What was the hypothesis?
    • What was changed (the variant)?
    • What is the primary metric? Any guardrail metrics?
    • How long did the test run?
    • What is the traffic split?
  2. Validate the test setup:

    • Sample size: Is the sample large enough for the expected effect size?
      • Use the formula: n = (Z²α/2 × 2 × p × (1-p)) / MDE²
      • Flag if the test is underpowered (<80% power)
    • Duration: Did the test run for at least 1-2 full business cycles?
    • Randomization: Any evidence of sample ratio mismatch (SRM)?
    • Novelty/primacy effects: Was there enough time to wash out initial behavior changes?
  3. Calculate statistical significance:

    • Conversion rate for control and variant
    • Relative lift: (variant - control) / control × 100
    • p-value: Using a two-tailed z-test or chi-squared test
    • Confidence interval: 95% CI for the difference
    • Statistical significance: Is p < 0.05?
    • Practical significance: Is the lift meaningful for the business?

If the user provides raw data, generate and run a Python script to calculate these.

  4. Check guardrail metrics:

    • Did any guardrail metrics (revenue, engagement, page load time) degrade?
    • A winning primary metric with degraded guardrails may not be a true win
  5. Interpret results:

    Outcome Recommendation
Significant positive lift, no guardrail issues Ship it — roll out to 100%
Significant positive lift, guardrail concerns Investigate — understand trade-offs before shipping
Not significant, positive trend Extend the test — need more data or larger effect
Not significant, flat Stop the test — no meaningful difference detected
Significant negative lift Don't ship — revert to control, analyze why

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
