geoskills-cli

geoskills-cli is a skill for Codex from TheSmokeDev/geo-skills. It costs 73 tokens per session (406 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command-line toolkit for discovering, inspecting, and checking a collection of website-visibility tools and prompts. The command line is a text-based way to run local commands from a terminal.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to run health checks, list or inspect bundled skills and prompts, inspect website pages and technical files, score extracted passages, and validate handoffs.
Why use it?
It gives coding agents a consistent way to find available tools, validate their setup, inspect website files such as robots.txt and sitemaps, and distinguish observed information from assumptions or proposed changes.

Getting it into your agent

One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00073 $0.00406
Opus 5 $0.00036 $0.00203
Sonnet 5 $0.00015 $0.00081
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00041

Measured 11d ago against content hash 42e6db93e9b7, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-11, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

geoskills-cli scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

GEO Skills CLI

Use the installed geoskills command before reaching into bundled scripts directly.

Start

geoskills --json doctor
geoskills --json validate
geoskills skills list --json
geoskills prompts list --json

Use --json for agent consumption. Omit it for human-readable output.

Commands

  • geoskills skills show <name>: print one canonical SKILL.md.
  • geoskills prompts show <name>: print one paste-ready prompt.
  • geoskills owner-map validate <file> --json: fail closed on an invalid GEO-to-TokenMax handoff.
  • geoskills inspect <url> --mode page|robots|llms|sitemap|blocks|full --json: run the deterministic read-only web inspector. Install the web extra first.
  • geoskills citability <url> --json: score extracted page passages. Install the web extra first.

Rules

  • Inspect before proposing changes.
  • Preserve the distinction between observed data, calculated values, inference, and proposed action.
  • Treat doctor, validate, discovery, owner-map validation, inspection, and citability as local/read-only commands.
  • Do not represent a deterministic inspection as a full LLM audit.
  • Do not deploy, publish, submit URLs, post to communities, mutate provider settings, or spend against a connected API from this skill.
  • On nonzero exit, read the JSON error or stderr and repair the contract rather than bypassing the gate.
Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
