tw-nuru

tw-nuru is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from TimeWarpEngineering/timewarp-nuru. It costs 61 tokens per session (4,484 once invoked), scanned A, original, Unlicense.

A .NET framework for building command-line programs with commands and options organized like web addresses. It supports generated code and ahead-of-time compilation, which turns an application into native code before it runs.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create .NET command-line tools, define commands and parameters, add terminal behavior, and test what the program prints.
Why use it?
It provides a defined way to structure multi-command command-line tools and test their terminal output.

Skill for Claude CodeCodex

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one.

Needs its repository: it reads a path above its own folder, which exists only inside the repository. The line is <ProjectReference Include="../../../source/timewarp-nuru/timewarp-nuru.csproj" />.

Good fit Use it to create .NET command-line tools, define commands and parameters, add terminal behavior, and test what the program prints.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00061 $0.04484
Opus 5 $0.00030 $0.02242
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00897
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00448

Security

Grade A, and why

tw-nuru scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

TimeWarp.Nuru

Route-based CLI framework for .NET. Define commands like web routes. Source-generated for AOT compatibility.

Package: TimeWarp.Nuru Repository: https://github.com/TimeWarpEngineering/timewarp-nuru Depends on: TimeWarp.Terminal - console abstractions (IConsole, ITerminal), widgets (panels, tables, rules), ANSI colors, and TestTerminal for testable output. Included transitively via the Nuru package. For full Terminal API docs (colors, widgets, builders), fetch the README at https://raw.githubusercontent.com/TimeWarpEngineering/timewarp-terminal/refs/heads/master/README.md

Reference: Calculator CLI

For a complete working example of a multi-command Nuru CLI, see the calculator sample. Replicate this folder structure for new CLIs:

my-cli/
├── my-cli.cs # Entry point runfile
├── Directory.Build.props # Includes endpoints/**/*.cs into compilation
├── behaviors/
│ └── *.cs # Pipeline behaviors
├── endpoints/
│ └── *.cs # One endpoint class per file
└── services/
    └── *.cs # Injected services

Key patterns:

  • Entry point runfile with #:project directive referencing the Nuru project
  • Directory.Build.props that glob-includes endpoints/**/*.cs and excludes the entry point
  • One endpoint class per file in endpoints/
  • File-scoped namespace in each endpoint file
  • DiscoverEndpoints() with .AddRepl(options => { options.AutoStartWhenEmpty = true; })

Choose a DSL

Nuru offers two DSLs. Pick one based on your needs:

  • Endpoint DSL (Recommended): Class-based with [NuruRoute] attribute. Best for testable, structured apps with dependency injection. Scales to large CLIs.
  • Fluent DSL: Inline lambdas with Map().WithHandler().AsCommand().Done(). Best for quick scripts and simple CLIs.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
