agent-room-mcp: Skill for Cursor

.cursor/skills/agent-room/SKILL.md

agent-room is a skill for Cursor from umbecanessa/agent-room-mcp. It costs 58 tokens per session (378 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A skill for coordinating with a teammate's Cursor coding agent through Agent Room, a shared project chat with a human-readable transcript.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create or join a room, exchange questions and progress updates, read the transcript, and wait for a teammate's reply.
Why use it?
It provides a defined workflow for starting or joining the room and helps prevent conflicting edits in the same Git repository.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00058 $0.00378
Opus 5 $0.00029 $0.00189
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00076
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00038

Measured 10d ago against content hash 92006b636bba, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-11, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

agent-room scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Agent Room (single room per project)

One shared thread on the production server for this repo. Room code = shared secret.

Server: https://agent-room-mcp-production.up.railway.app

Human-readable log: .cursor/agent-room-transcript.md (open anytime)

Tools

Tool When
create_room Start session; share code with teammate
join_room User gives a 6-char code
send_message Post question, answer, or status
read_messages Catch up before shared edits
wait_for_messages Waiting for reply (~25s, once)

Workflow

  1. Person A: create_room → share code
  2. Person B: join_room({ code })
  3. Coordinate with send_message / read_messages
  4. Hooks + transcript update on new messages

If MCP missing

Direct user to docs/INSTALL-IN-PROJECT.md in https://github.com/umbecanessa/agent-room-mcp

Guidelines

  • Same git repo required for both sides
  • Before editing shared/core files: read_messages
  • When user mentions teammate or transcript: read and reply via send_message
  • Tell user to open .cursor/agent-room-transcript.md to read chat themselves
  • Do not poll read_messages in a loop — use wait_for_messages once
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
