Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00028 | $0.00442 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00014 | $0.00221 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00006 | $0.00088 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00003 | $0.00044 |
Grade A, and why
rebuild-ui-bundle scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
What it actually says
Rebuild the UI bundle
The React app in ui/ builds to a single-file bundle at src/mal_mcp/ui/dist/index.html, which the
server serves as the ui://mal-mcp/app.html MCP Apps resource. The dist/ dir is gitignored but
ships in the wheel via [tool.hatch.build] artifacts — so a stale/missing build only shows the
placeholder page ("UI bundle not built…"), it does not fail the server or pytest.
Released wheels do not use your local build. .github/workflows/publish.yml builds the bundle
from scratch on every tag and hard-fails if it is missing or is the placeholder. Rebuild locally to
see your changes; CI is what makes them ship. (CI pins Node 22; a newer local Node is fine.)
Steps
cd uinpm ci(first time, or afterpackage.json/lockfile changes)npm run typecheck— catch TS errors before buildingnpm run build— emitssrc/mal_mcp/ui/dist/index.html
Notes
- The server caches the built HTML per process (
_dist_html()inui/__init__.py). Since the MCP client owns the server process, restart the client (or its MCP connection) to pick up a rebuild. A miss is not cached, so building while the process runs takes effect on the next read. - Preview the app with the
mal-ui-devlaunch config (.claude/launch.json, Vite on port 5199, driven by fixtures inui/src/dev/fixtures.ts). - Screenshots: to refresh
docs/screenshots/*.png, run the dev server and re-capture the views (dashboard, list, search, ranking, schedule, detail) from the fixtures.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

rebuild-ui-bundle is a skill published in the GitHub repository UmutKDev/myanimelist-mcp (1 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 28 tokens to every session and 442 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
