rpg-party-forge

rpg-party-forge is a skill for Claude Code from vstrapasson/rpg-marketplace. It costs 195 tokens per session (3,246 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A tool for running session zero, the meeting where players create characters and agree on the campaign's starting point, in Pathfinder 2e. It records each character as both a person with motivations and a connection to the campaign world.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to define a character's concept, beliefs, wounds, wants, needs, contradictions, speaking style, campaign hook, and game-master-only secret, then summarize the party's size and level.
Why use it?
It prevents characters from becoming disconnected stat sheets or backstories that do not affect play. It gives the game master usable character hooks and private secrets to build around.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00195 $0.03246
Opus 5 $0.00097 $0.01623
Sonnet 5 $0.00039 $0.00649
Haiku 4.5 $0.00019 $0.00325

Security

Grade A, and why

rpg-party-forge scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

RPG Party Forge (PF2e kit — the players' side / session zero)

What this skill is for

Build the player characters and capture the party — the one place the kit faces the players instead of only the GM. The loremaster kit authors the world; the rest of the gamemaster kit preps the GM's side of the table. This skill authors the other side: the PCs who walk into that world, each one wired into it by a hook, and each carrying a GM-only secret that makes the table converge.

It produces a jogador entity per character (the first skill in the kit to author this existing entity type) and a party overview the encounter and embate builders read for level and size.

The core idea — a person AND a world-anchor

A PC who is only a stat block is a pawn; a PC who is only a backstory floats free of the campaign. This skill produces two things at once, and they are inseparable:

  1. The person — concept, core belief, the active wound behind it, a want pulling against a need, a genuine contradiction, and a performable table voice. The same inside-out engine the NPC creator uses, tuned for a character the player owns. See references/pc-frameworks.md.
  2. The world-anchor — the hook that ties this character to a faction, region, location, front, or clue (PCs are rooted, not wandering), plus the GM-secret layer: what the character doesn't yet know, the seed planted on them, and how their thread crosses the other PCs' (the convergence). This is what turns a bag of backstories into a party with a shared spine.

The person makes the player care; the world-anchor makes the campaign pull. Drop either and the character points nowhere.

Player co-ownership — the boundary that makes this different from the NPC creator

The NPC creator builds a character the GM owns top to bottom. A PC is co-owned: the player has final say on who their character is. So the intake is collaborative — run with the player (or with the GM relaying for an absent player), the player decides, and the GM layers the secret on top. Two distinct surfaces fall out of this:

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
