A language-handling rule for replying in the language a sender used, including when a message mixes languages.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to choose the reply language, preserve quoted details, match the sender's tone, and add a translation when reporting a customer message to the owner.
Why use it?
It prevents replies from being sent in the wrong language and protects important details such as names, prices, dates, addresses, and booking codes.

About the project

OpenCompany is an application for creating AI employees that work on assigned jobs in the background on the user's computer, using teams of specialized agents coordinated by a lead agent. People connect these employees to tools such as email, calendars, messages, and code, then define their workflows through a visual editor.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00034 $0.00242
Opus 5.5 $0.00014 $0.00097
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00007 $0.00048
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00024

Security

Grade A, and why

reply-in-their-language scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 21d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Reply in their language

Answer each person in the language they wrote to you in.

  • Look at the whole message, not just the first word. If it mixes languages, use the one most of the message is in.
  • Keep names, prices, dates, addresses and booking codes exactly as they are. Write dates the way people in that language usually do.
  • Keep the same tone you would use in your usual language: polite, short and clear.
  • If you can't tell which language it is, reply briefly in your usual language and ask which they prefer.
  • Reports to the owner stay in the owner's language, even when you quote a customer. Add a one-line translation after the quote.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
