evo-dice-game-scoring

evo-dice-game-scoring is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Zhang-Henry/CoEvoSkills. It costs 46 tokens per session (350 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A calculator for optimizing scores in a dice game from an Excel workbook. It applies the game's category rules, assigns different categories to turns, and compares matched player games.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to read dice rolls, find the best score for each game, assign categories across turns, and compare two players.
Why use it?
It removes the need to calculate every possible category assignment by hand. It can also handle games with a missing turn and report player wins, losses, and ties.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00046 $0.00350
Opus 5 $0.00023 $0.00175
Sonnet 5 $0.00009 $0.00070
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00035

Security

Grade A, and why

evo-dice-game-scoring scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/dice_scoring.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Dice Game Scoring Optimization

This skill handles dice game analysis tasks where:

  • A workbook contains dice roll data (6 rolls per turn, 2 turns per game)
  • Turns must be scored using categories with specific rules
  • Games are scored by optimally assigning different categories to each turn
  • Questions involve comparing players across matched games

Usage

import sys
sys.path.insert(0, '/app/environment/skills/evo-dice-game-scoring/scripts')
from dice_scoring import (
    parse_dice_data,
    compute_all_scores,
    best_game_score,
    compute_all_game_scores,
    match_players
)

# Parse data
turns, games = parse_dice_data('/root/data.xlsx')

# Compute all game scores
game_scores = compute_all_game_scores(games)

# Match players: odd games = P1, even games = P2
p1_wins, p2_wins, ties = match_players(game_scores)
result = p1_wins - p2_wins

with open('/root/answer.txt', 'w') as f:
    f.write(str(result))

Key Design Decisions

  • Missing turns are handled gracefully (1-turn games scored with best single category)
  • The "Ordered subset of four" category checks consecutive positions in roll order
  • Category assignment optimization uses brute-force over 6 categories (fast enough)
  • PDF background must be read at runtime to extract exact scoring rules
Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

evo-dice-game-scoring is a skill published in the GitHub repository Zhang-Henry/CoEvoSkills (66 stars, last pushed 22d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 46 tokens to every session and 350 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
