deck-gl

deck-gl is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from znlgis/opengis-skills. It costs 80 tokens per session (6,387 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A browser-based framework for drawing large geographic or tabular datasets with the graphics processor. It provides reusable layers for points, polygons, paths, vector tiles, terrain, heatmaps, and other aggregations.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to display millions of points, large GeoJSON datasets, vector tiles, heatmaps, hexagon or grid summaries, and interactive selections on web maps.
Why use it?
It addresses the performance problems that arise when ordinary HTML or SVG must display very large datasets. It can also place these visual layers over Mapbox or MapLibre maps.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00080 $0.06387
Opus 5.5 $0.00032 $0.02555
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00016 $0.01277
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00639

Security

Grade A, and why

deck-gl scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

npm install @deck.gl/core @deck.gl/layers   # 最小组合:核心 + 基础图层
npm install @deck.gl/core @deck.gl/layers @deck.gl/aggregation-layers @deck.gl/geo-layers @deck.gl/react
@deck.gl/core / @deck.gl/layers Deck、视图、控制器、图层基类与基础图层
@deck.gl/aggregation-layers / @deck.gl/geo-layers 聚合图层;地理图层(Tile、MVT、Terrain、H3、S2)
@deck.gl/mapbox / @deck.gl/maplibre Mapbox / MapLibre GL JS 集成入口
@deck.gl/react / @deck.gl/json React 封装组件 DeckGL;JSON 声明式图层配置

import {Deck} from '@deck.gl/core';
import {ScatterplotLayer} from '@deck.gl/layers';

new Deck({
  initialViewState: {longitude: -122.45, latitude: 37.8, zoom: 11},
  controller: true,
  layers: [
    new ScatterplotLayer({
      data: [{position: [-122.45, 37.8], radius: 100, color: [255, 0, 0]}],
      getPosition: d => d.position,
      getRadius: d => d.radius,
      getFillColor: d => d.color,
      pickable: true
    })
  ],
});

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

deck-gl is a skill published in the GitHub repository znlgis/opengis-skills (72 stars, last pushed 6d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 80 tokens to every session and 6,387 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-16.
