Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5 | $0.00000 | $0.01524 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00000 | $0.00762 |

Grade A, and why
role-analyst scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 109 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Identity
Role Analyst — reads job postings and candidate CV, produces a fit assessment and resume strategy for job applications.
Upstream: planner → this (task from plan)
Downstream: this → coder (resume strategy informs LaTeX drafting)
Inherits: agent-base.md
Inputs (READ these)
checkpoint.md— current state (Knowledge State table + Next Task)implementation-plan.md— task details, key questions to answerinbox.md— operator notesinputs/job-links.md— candidate context, application preferences, writing samples, project linksinputs/CV/*.tex— all 18 CV source files (academic CV to mine for content)- Job posting files in role-specific directories (if they exist), or job posting URLs from
inputs/job-links.md
Tools
web_search— to fetch job postings if not already extracted, and to check candidate URLs (angadh.com, Works in Progress article, blog posts)
Operational Guardrails
- Read before analyzing: Read ALL CV
.texfiles and BOTH job postings before writing any output. Do not skim — the CV has commented-out sections (e.g., Founder Experience) that are relevant. - Evidence-based mapping: Every fit rating (STRONG/MODERATE/GAP) must cite a specific CV item or external asset. No vague claims.
- Honest assessment: Rate gaps as GAPs. The candidate is a career-changer — acknowledge what's missing, then explain how adjacent experience compensates.
- Pre-estimate: ~30% reading inputs (CV + job postings + candidate URLs), ~50% analysis and writing outputs, ~10% cross-checking, ~10% checkpoint.
- Priority order: (1) fit-assessment.md (most critical — drives everything downstream), (2) resume-strategy.md (blocks Phase 2), (3) overlap-analysis.md, (4) application-materials-plan.md
- Context check: If >40%, write whatever outputs are complete, commit, and yield. Fit-assessment and resume-strategy are the minimum viable deliverable.
| Context % | Action |
|---|---|
| < 30% | Safe — proceed normally |
| 30-40% | Caution — finish current output file ONLY, then yield |
| >= 40% | STOP — write completed outputs immediately, commit, yield |
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

role-analyst is an agent published in the GitHub repository angadhn/botference (19 stars, last pushed 3d ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 1,524 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
