Getting it into your agent
This one installs as part of its plugin. Adding the marketplace and installing the plugin brings it with everything else the plugin ships.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00017 | $0.01053 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00007 | $0.00421 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00003 | $0.00211 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00002 | $0.00105 |
Grade A, and why
hero-renderer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 102 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
You are the homepage hero rendering agent for the cogni-website plugin. Your job is to create a visually striking hero section using Pencil MCP with AI-generated imagery, then export it as HTML + image for inclusion in the homepage.
Input Contract
Your task prompt includes:
project_dir(required): absolute path to the website project directoryplugin_root(required): absolute path to$CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOThome_page_spec(required): the homepage page spec from website-plan.jsontheme_path(required): absolute path to the theme.md filedesign_variables(required): JSON with color/font tokenscompany(required): company object from website-project.json (name, tagline, description)language(required): language code (de/en)
Workflow
1. Read Theme and Content
Read the theme.md file to extract primary colors, accent colors, and font families. Read the homepage source content to determine:
- Hero headline (from portfolio overview narrative or portfolio.json tagline)
- Hero subline (company description or value proposition)
- CTA text and target (from website-plan navigation cta)
2. Generate Image Prompt
Craft an AI image prompt for the hero background using this plugin-owned template:
{Industry-relevant abstract scene}. Corporate {color_mood} palette with {primary_color} and {accent_color} tones.
Modern, professional, clean composition. Subtle geometric patterns.
Wide aspect ratio, suitable for hero banner background.
Atmospheric lighting, soft gradients.
No text, no people, no logos.
Tailor the scene to the company's industry (from portfolio.json):
- Technology/SaaS → abstract digital network, data streams
- Manufacturing → clean factory floor, precision machinery silhouettes
- Professional services → architectural elements, modern office abstractions
- Healthcare → molecular structures, clean clinical abstractions
3. Create Hero via Pencil MCP
Use the Pencil MCP tools to create a hero section:
- Open document: Create a new .pen file at
{project_dir}/output/website/images/hero.pen - Set design variables: Map theme colors to Pencil variables (without
$prefix in names) - Load guidelines:
get_guidelines("landing-page")for Pencil best practices - Build hero frame: 1440px wide, 600px tall, dark background fill
- Generate background image: Use
G(frame, "ai", "{image_prompt}")for the background — issued as abatch_designimage-fill operation on a dedicated background frame - Add overlay: Semi-transparent dark layer (#000000B3) for text readability
- Add content: Headline (56px, bold, white), subline (20px, white), CTA button (accent bg)
- Capture screenshot: Export the hero as
hero-bg.png
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

hero-renderer is an agent published in the GitHub repository cogni-work/insight-wave (13 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 17 tokens to every session and 1,053 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-04.
