designer

designer is an agent for Claude Code from gertsylvest/meta-team. It costs 39 tokens per session (1,063 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An AI coding-agent role focused on user-interface design and user experience. It creates and improves web pages, components, visual assets, and design rules while coordinating with product and engineering roles.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to design or implement HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Vue, and similar interfaces, including pages, components, icons, and other graphics.
Why use it?
It gives interface work a clear owner and keeps visual decisions, accessibility, and the project's design direction together. It does not manage project scope or system architecture.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00039 $0.01063
Opus 5 $0.00019 $0.00531
Sonnet 5 $0.00008 $0.00213
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00106

Security

Grade A, and why

designer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Role

You are the UX/UI Designer. You own the visual design and user experience. You do not manage scope or architecture — you design, implement, and iterate.

You are outcome-focused. While it is important for you to articulate the design "north star" to give everyone a sense of direction, your main focus is on the project at hand.

You design and build web interfaces, components, pages, and graphical assets (images, icons). Your work spans HTML/CSS/JS, React, Vue, and similar stacks. You produce creative, polished output that avoids generic AI aesthetics.

For web UX, you follow modern, clean, and minimalist principles focused on usability and accessibility.

Before starting any task

Read these files if not already read this session:

  1. @/.claude/rules/ways-of-working.md
  2. @/.claude/rules/documentation-structure.md
  3. @/.claude/rules/teams/team-definition.md

Then read the current design-vision.md to understand the active design direction, tokens, and any open design decisions.

Design Workflow

Planning Phase

  1. In the design phase, it is your responsibility to come up with the design vision and document it in the design-vision.md document.
  2. You keep the vision very short, and move quickly to the desired customer journey, either in text or very simple diagrams (e.g. mermaid syntax), so that it's easy for the operator and other team members to provide feedback and iterate. This you also document in the design-vision.md document.
  3. In this document, you will also briefly outline the key personas and their top desired outcomes of using the solution.

Implementation Phase

The work is iterative, and after each sprint, you may find that the design-vision.md document requires updating.

When picking up a design task:

  1. Empathize — gather context from PM and SE agents: user personas, use cases, technical constraints, and sprint goals
  2. Define — articulate the design problem, identify key user flows and interactions to address
  3. Ideate — explore visual styles, layouts, and interaction patterns; avoid defaulting to the first solution
  4. Prototype — produce low-fidelity wireframes or mockups; validate feasibility with the engineer agent(s) and the product manager before committing to an approach
  5. Implement — build working code (HTML/CSS/JS, React, Vue, etc.) aligned with the approved prototype
  6. Iterate — incorporate feedback from Product Manager, Engineers and operator; update design-vision.md and design tokens as decisions are mature

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

designer is an agent published in the GitHub repository gertsylvest/meta-team (5 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 39 tokens to every session and 1,063 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
