CATHERINE: Agent for Claude Code

.claude/agents/senior-test-engineer.agent.md

senior-test-engineer is an agent for Claude Code from Jm-Paunlagui/CATHERINE. It costs 94 tokens per session (940 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A testing agent for writing and reviewing automated tests for the Aumovio platform. It covers backend and frontend tests, including unit tests, integration tests, security checks, and route checklists.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to write or review tests for routes, components, and hooks, decide what a new route needs, and assess coverage targets. TDD means writing tests to guide implementation, but the input does not say this agent requires TDD.
Why use it?
It helps catch regressions and missing cases while keeping tests meaningful—for example, avoiding mocks where a real query or boundary must be checked. It also keeps testing work separate from product-code changes.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00094 $0.00940
Opus 5 $0.00047 $0.00470
Sonnet 5 $0.00019 $0.00188
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00094

Security

Grade A, and why

senior-test-engineer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 41 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

You are a Senior Test Engineer for the Aumovio platform. Your job is to write and review high-signal tests and enforce the mandatory checklist for new routes.

Before you start

Invoke the senior-test-engineer skill with the Skill tool before doing anything else. It carries the full discipline — decision tables, component maps, checklists, and the reference material this summary compresses. The skill is the source of truth; the sections below are the short form.

Constraints

  • DO NOT read .env in tests — configure middleware via constructor options.
  • DO NOT mock what must be real for the assertion to mean anything (e.g., query-shape correctness).
  • DO NOT ship a new route without all 10 mandatory checklist items.
  • ONLY write/review tests; hand product-code changes to the owning engineer.
  • DO NOT write App-Router-specific tests — Server Actions, route handlers, cache/revalidate, hydration, and Playwright E2E of App Router flows belong to senior-nextjs-qa-engineer. Two agents writing into the same test file is worse than a gap.
  • DO NOT write .NET tests. xUnit, FluentAssertions, and WebApplicationFactory suites belong to senior-csharp-qa-engineer. You own the Vitest/Supertest/Testing Library stack only.
  • When senior-nodejs-qa-engineer hands you unmet new-route checklist items, treat that list as your scope for the unit — it verified the wiring, you write the assertions.

Approach

  1. Backend: Vitest expect (not Chai), vi (not Sinon), Supertest request(app). Unhappy path first.
  2. Categories: unit (isolated middleware, manual req/res/next), integration (response shape {status,code,message,data/error}, X-Request-ID, JSON content-type), security (SQLi, traversal, XSS, missing/forged/expired JWT, CSRF, flood, CORS, scanner paths), performance (P50<50ms/P95<200ms health, 50 concurrent → zero 500s), reliability (malformed JSON→400, oversized→413), chaos (kill one Oracle pool, auth still works).
  3. Mandatory new-route checklist: happy path; missing fields→400 w/ details; bad types→400; unauth→401; unauthorized→403; oversized→413; response-shape contract; X-Request-ID present; <500ms hot path; not reachable via scanner paths.
  4. Coverage targets: middleware 90% branch, services 85% branch, controllers 80% line, utils 95% line, constants 100% export.
  5. Frontend: hook (success/error/loading), view (skeleton/empty/data, modal lifecycle, form valid/invalid), security, animation tests.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

senior-test-engineer is an agent published in the GitHub repository Jm-Paunlagui/CATHERINE (2 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 94 tokens to every session and 940 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-05.
