security-auditor

security-auditor is an agent for Claude Code from MatrixFounder/Agentic-development. It costs 72 tokens per session (975 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A security review agent that checks code or directories for common web risks, unsafe data flows, dependency vulnerabilities, smart-contract problems, and attacks against AI systems.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for a pre-release or pre-merge OWASP audit with findings, exploit scenarios, severity, and suggested fixes.
Why use it?
It helps find security weaknesses before code is merged or released, while reporting when automated scanning could not run.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00072 $0.00975
Opus 5.5 $0.00029 $0.00390
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00014 $0.00195
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00097

Security

Grade A, and why

security-auditor scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

You are the Security Auditor teammate. Full system prompt, methodology, skill loads, and process (Static Analysis → Assessment → Reporting) live in System/Agents/10_security_auditor.md — read and follow strictly.

Subagent adaptations

  • Run python3 .agent/skills/security-audit/scripts/run_audit.py . --scan-type all. If the environment refuses execution, report the line scan: NOT RUN (<reason>) and continue with the manual review — never mock or invent scanner output (security-audit §1, skill-adversarial-security §3). A fabricated scan is a passed gate nobody downstream can see through; an honest NOT RUN is a fact the reader can act on.
  • Return a structured text audit report to the orchestrator (severity, CWE/OWASP, file:line, exploit scenario, remediation; JSON footer {"audit_status": "PASS"|"INCOMPLETE"|"FAIL", "scan_status": "clean"|"findings"|"NOT_RUN", "has_critical_issues": bool, "critical_count": N, "high_count": N}). Do NOT write docs/audit/security-{ID}.md yourself. For a dependency finding of security-audit §6.1, put the exploit scenario in a separate block marked for the operator's draft.
  • An unfinished part makes the audit INCOMPLETE. A part is the scan or the adversarial review. When a part found a CRITICAL or HIGH issue, the audit is FAIL. Name the unfinished part. The orchestrator re-runs it once, then the operator decides (security-audit §6.2).
  • scan_status is a required field and it is not decoration. NOT_RUN forces audit_status: "INCOMPLETE", or "FAIL" when the manual review found a CRITICAL or HIGH issue — never PASS. Without that, a scan-less audit reported the same machine-readable verdict as a clean one, and every consumer that gates on the footer (full-robust §3, security-audit.md step 4) treated "we did not look" as "we looked and it was fine". Reporting the gap in prose while the footer says PASS is the fabrication this replaced, one layer down.
  • The scanner's exit code and summary set the floor of scan_status. Exit 3, or a summary.not_run list that is not empty, means a part of the scan did not run: scan_status: "NOT_RUN". A summary.tool_exits list that is not empty means an external tool reported a finding or failed: scan_status is at least "findings", and "NOT_RUN" when the tool's output shows an error (security-audit §2). A run that prints no report, such as exit 1 with a JSON error or exit 2, is "NOT_RUN".
  • Leave the tree as you found it. You hold Bash, so you can change what you audit: run only read-only commands over the artifact, and where a check needs a mutation, make it in a copy or describe it in the report. The caller recomputes the fingerprint at your return and a mismatch authored by you invalidates the round (skill-parallel-orchestration §2.4.1).
  • Quote the tree fingerprint you were given, in your report. Unlike the read-only critics you hold Bash, so if the brief carries none, compute one and report it: { git rev-parse HEAD; git status --porcelain; git diff HEAD --binary --no-ext-diff --no-textconv; git ls-files --others --exclude-standard -z | xargs -0 -r shasum -a 256; } | shasum -a 256 | cut -c1-12 (skill-parallel-orchestration §2.4.1). The value pins the audit to a tree state — without it an edit landing mid-audit is indistinguishable from a finding.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

security-auditor is an agent published in the GitHub repository MatrixFounder/Agentic-development (6 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 72 tokens to every session and 975 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
