Unity-AI-Animation: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

Unity-AI-Animation AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from IvanMurzak/Unity-AI-Animation. It costs 1,140 tokens per session, scanned A, original, MIT.

A repository instruction file for a Unity package that lets AI tools create, inspect, and modify animation clips and animator controllers. Unity is a game engine, and these instructions describe the package layout, commands, tests, and release files.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when developing or maintaining the Unity animation package, adding tools, changing data types, updating tests, or preparing releases.
Why use it?
It gives a coding agent the project-specific rules it needs before changing the package. This reduces the risk of editing the wrong directory, missing a supported Unity version, or overlooking related tests and release configuration.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01140 $0.01140
Opus 5.5 $0.00456 $0.00456
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00228 $0.00228
Haiku 4.5 $0.00114 $0.00114

Security

Grade A, and why

Unity-AI-Animation AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 23d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

AGENTS.md — Unity-AI-Animation

Unity package com.ivanmurzak.unity.mcp.animation — makes Unity AnimationClip / AnimatorController assets and the Animator component available to Unity-MCP's RQL tools (rql-query / rql-mutate; no extension MCP tools): the animation source (CreateClip, CreateController, animators), clip curve / key / event / settings views and methods, controller layer / parameter views and state-machine methods, transition conditions. An extension of AI Game Developer (com.ivanmurzak.unity.mcp), generated from Unity-AI-Tools-Template; the former tool → RQL table is in README.md.

Layout

  • Unity-Package/ — Unity project hosting the package; only Packages/com.ivanmurzak.unity.mcp.animation/ ships.
    • package.json — the version source of truth and the dependency pins.
    • Editor/Scripts/Rql/ — the RQL module (AnimationModule: source, adapters, guide), one adapter per file (<Namespace_Type>_Adapter.cs), the AnimationEditorApi source object, the views (AnimationCurveView, KeyframeView, ObjectCurveView, AnimationEventView, AnimationClipSettingsView, AnimatorLayerView, AnimatorParameterView) and shared helpers (AnimationEdit).
    • Runtime/ — runtime assembly (currently empty).
    • Tests/Editor/Rql/ (EditMode, AnimationTestBase + one file per adapter / view / source) and Tests/Runtime/ (PlayMode).
  • Unity-Tests/<unity-version>/ — one test project per supported Unity version, consuming the package via file:. A new version must also be added to test_pull_request.yml and release.yml.
  • Installer/ — Unity project that exports the .unitypackage installer (Assets/com.IvanMurzak/<name> Installer/).
  • commands/ — PowerShell helpers (below) and check-versions.py (synced in by the release cascade — do not hand-edit; CI runs it as the version-consistency gate).
  • .github/workflows/ — test_pull_request.yml (PR test matrix), test_unity_plugin.yml (reusable test job), release.yml, bump_version.yml, claude.yml (@claude mentions).
  • docs/ — user docs: Deploy-{OpenUPM,GitHub,npmjs}.md, Manual-Package-Rename.md, openupm-signing.md, img/.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
