meta-emq-optimizer

meta-emq-optimizer is a skill for Claude Code from Ad-Superpowers/ad-superpowers-plugin. It costs 88 tokens per session (3,102 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide to improving Meta's Event Match Quality score, which measures how well reported conversion events can be matched to Facebook or Instagram users. It covers missing customer information and Advanced Matching settings.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to check match-quality problems, find missing event information, and plan improvements to conversion reporting and audience building.
Why use it?
Poor matching can leave conversions out of reports and give Meta less data for campaign optimisation.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00088 $0.03102
Opus 5.5 $0.00035 $0.01241
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00018 $0.00620
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00310

Security

Grade A, and why

meta-emq-optimizer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

EMQ Optimizer

Optimizer for Meta's Event Match Quality (EMQ) score to improve user matching and attribution.

What Is EMQ?

Event Match Quality measures how well Meta can match conversion events to Facebook/Instagram users.

EMQ Score Scale: 0-10

Score Interpretation:
├── 0-3: Poor - Many missed matches
├── 4-5: OK - Basic matching, improvement needed
├── 6-7: Good - Good match rate
├── 8-10: Great - Optimal matching
└── Target: 7+ for Purchase events

Why EMQ Is Crucial

Higher EMQ = Better:
├── More accurate attribution
├── Better algorithm optimization
├── Higher reported ROAS
├── Better audience building
└── More effective retargeting

Low EMQ Impact:
├── Missed conversions in reporting
├── Algorithm optimizes on incomplete data
├── Underreported ROAS
├── Weaker lookalike audiences
└── Less effective retargeting

EMQ Check Workflow

STEP 1: Check current EMQ
└── Events Manager → Pixel → Event → Details → Match Quality

STEP 2: Identify gaps
└── Which parameters are missing?

STEP 3: Implement improvements
└── Add missing parameters

STEP 4: Monitor results
└── EMQ update takes 24-72 hours

Customer Information Parameters (CIPs)

City ct Medium Location matching
State st Medium Location matching
Zip Code zp Medium Location matching
Country country Medium Location matching
Date of Birth db Medium Extra identifier
Gender ge Medium Extra identifier
Client IP client_ip_address Basic Required for server events
User Agent client_user_agent Basic Required for server events
Click ID fbc High Facebook click identifier
Browser ID fbp High Facebook browser identifier

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
