Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

What it costs to keep this loaded
Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00040 | $0.02748 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00020 | $0.01374 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00008 | $0.00550 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00004 | $0.00275 |
Grade A, and why
epd-parser scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 199 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
/as:epd-parser — EPD PDF Parser
Harness note: use
/as:<skill>on Claude Code and$<skill>on Codex. Resolve<skill-root>as the directory containing this loadedSKILL.mdand<plugin-root>as the plugin root that containsskills/, and use equivalent native tools when host tool names differ.
Extract structured environmental impact data from EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) PDF files. Uses PyMuPDF for text extraction and Claude's reasoning to parse varying EPD formats into a standardized 42-column schema.
EPDs follow ISO 14025 / ISO 21930 / EN 15804 and report life cycle environmental impacts of building products. This skill reads those PDFs and structures the data for comparison, specification, and LEED documentation.
Input
The user provides EPD PDFs in one of these ways:
- File paths — one or more PDF file paths
- Folder path — a directory containing PDFs (will process all
.pdffiles) - Just invoked — ask the user for file paths or a folder
Output Schema
Use the canonical 42-column contract in schema/epd-schema.md. It is separate from the 33-column FF&E product schema. Never substitute or persist an FF&E-shaped record as EPD data. Leave unavailable values empty and use a plain URL for EPD Link.
Material Category Vocabulary
Use ONE normalized term: Concrete, Steel, Aluminum, Wood/Timber, Insulation, Gypsum, Glass, Ceramic/Tile, Carpet, Resilient Flooring, Roofing Membrane, Sealant, Paint/Coating, Masonry, Stone, Composite Panel, Acoustic, Cladding, Rebar, Cement, Aggregate, Furniture, Other.
EPD-specific data in Notes (col AO)
EPDs contain fields that don't have dedicated columns. Append these to Notes:
- EPD Type:
Type: Product-specificorType: Industry-averageorType: Sector - Verification:
Verified by: [verifier name] - EN version:
EN 15804+A1orEN 15804+A2(important for comparability) - Source File:
Source: holcim-readymix-epd.pdf - LCA Software:
LCA: GaBiorLCA: SimaProorLCA: openLCA - Biogenic carbon note: If the EPD reports biogenic carbon storage separately
What ships with it
1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

epd-parser is a skill published in the GitHub repository AlpacaLabsLLC/skills-for-architects (348 stars, last pushed 7d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 40 tokens to every session and 2,748 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
Other skills, from other repositories
bib-parse
Extract citations from a PDF and generate a validated .bib file. Use when the user asks to extract citations from a PDF and generate a validated .bib file. Reads the PDF, identifies referenced works, constructs BibTeX entries, and verifies metadata.
beamer-deck
Create an academic presentation as a LaTeX Beamer source and reviewed PDF with an original theme. Use when the requested deliverable is a conference, seminar, or lecture deck in Beamer. Not for PowerPoint or RevealJS; use $pptx or $quarto-deck.
latex-health-check
Compile all LaTeX projects and report cross-project build consistency. Use when checking whether a collection of papers builds cleanly. Not for rendered visual inspection after a clean build; use $latex-polish.
latex-polish
Inspect a cleanly compiling LaTeX document for source pathologies and rendered visual defects by linting and viewing selected PDF pages. Use when compilation succeeds but title pages, floats, tables, figures, or layout still need publication-quality review. Not for basic compilation health; use $latex-health-check.
paper2slides
Turn an academic paper PDF into a presentation deck (.pptx) end-to-end. Use this skill whenever the user wants to "make slides from a paper", "generate a deck from this PDF", "make a PPT from this paper", "generate slides from a PDF document", "make a deck from a research paper", or supplies a research paper PDF and…
latex-compile
Compile a LaTeX document and fix every error plus aesthetic issue (overfull/underfull boxes, widows, alignment, fonts) for a clean PDF and log. Use this instead of running pdflatex/latexmk manually — it avoids the latexmk stale-log trap and silent grep failures on binary log output, and it reformats rather than…
