digits

digits is a skill for Claude Code from apideck-libraries/api-skills. It costs 68 tokens per session (2,165 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

An integration guide for connecting to Digits, an accounting platform, through Apideck’s shared accounting API. It covers invoices, bills, payments, ledger accounts, and journal entries, but the connector is currently in beta.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to read, create, update, or reconcile accounting records in Digits, while checking whether the needed operation is supported.
Why use it?
It provides a common way to work with Digits and other accounting services. The beta status warns that some records or operations may be incomplete or mapped differently.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00068 $0.02165
Opus 5.5 $0.00027 $0.00866
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00014 $0.00433
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00216

Security

Grade A, and why

digits scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 20d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Digits (via Apideck)

Access Digits through Apideck's Accounting unified API — one of 34 Accounting connectors that share the same method surface. Code you write here ports to Access Financials, Acumatica, banqUP and 30 other Accounting connectors by changing a single serviceId string. Apideck handles auth, pagination, rate limiting, and retries so you don't write per-tenant Digits plumbing.

Beta connector. Digits is currently in beta on Apideck. Expect partial resource coverage and occasional mapping gaps. Always verify coverage (see below) and fall back to the Proxy API for unsupported operations.

Quick facts

At a glance

  • Implementation difficulty: moderate — Self-service signup and sandbox — app approval required before other organisations can install your app
  • Vendor partnership required: no — No partner programme, certification or marketplace listing to complete — a free developer account is all you need.
  • Apideck-managed credentials: available — OAuth consent shows "Apideck" as the requesting application. Register your own Digits app for production.
  • Account type required: Digits account (the connecting organisation's own Digits ledger)
  • Consumer access level: Any user who can authorise third-party access to the Digits organisation — Digits documents no minimum role.
  • Sandbox: available (signup) — Free, resettable Developer Sandbox with demo data, one per developer account. No live bank connections, and collaborator invites are disabled.
  • Costs: No cost for API access — Digits charges no fees, usage paywalls or marketplace commissions (verified June 2026).
  • Rate limits: 180 requests/minute per client ID and 60 requests/minute per access token. Approved production apps can request higher limits.
  • Authentication: Authorization Code flow.
  • Webhooks: No webhooks — neither native nor virtual; poll for changes. Digits has a webhook contract of its own, but it is in private beta and unused here.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

digits is a skill published in the GitHub repository apideck-libraries/api-skills (5 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 68 tokens to every session and 2,165 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
