Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00071 $0.00531
Opus 5 $0.00036 $0.00266
Sonnet 5 $0.00014 $0.00106
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00053

Security

Grade C, and why

archagent-install scanned grade C with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

What it actually says

Install ArchAgent CLI

Install or upgrade the public archagent binary from Homebrew or GitHub Releases.

Workflow

  1. Check whether the CLI is already installed:

    archagent --version

If this succeeds, record the version.

  2. If the CLI is present and the user didn't ask to upgrade, confirm the version and stop.

  3. If the CLI is missing or the user asked to upgrade, install it using the public distribution path:

    • On macOS, if Homebrew is available:
      brew install ArchAstro/tools/archagent

If the formula is already installed, run:
      brew upgrade ArchAstro/tools/archagent

    • On Linux or macOS without Homebrew:
      curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ArchAstro/archagents/main/install.sh | bash

    • On Windows PowerShell:
      irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ArchAstro/archagents/main/install.ps1 | iex

  4. Verify installation:

    archagent --version

  5. On failure, help troubleshoot the public install path:

    • Missing brew is expected on Linux and some macOS setups; fall back to install.sh.
    • Permission denied usually means they need --install-dir or a user-writable target directory.
    • command not found: archagent after install usually means the install directory is not on PATH.
    • Release download failures usually mean the target release asset has not been published yet.
  6. On success, tell the user the CLI is ready and suggest they run archagent setup to install the Claude Code/Codex plugins, then archagent auth login <email> to authenticate.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

archagent-install is a skill published in the GitHub repository ArchAstro/archagents (5 stars, last pushed 17d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 71 tokens to every session and 531 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it C with 2 findings (downloads and executes remote code, makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
