A task manager that connects an AI coding agent to tasks stored in Obsidian through the TaskNotes plugin API. Obsidian is a note-taking app, and an API lets software exchange data with it.

Use it to list tasks, filter them by status or project, create tasks with priorities or schedules, update task details, change statuses, and delete tasks.

It removes the need to manage TaskNotes tasks manually when you want to create, find, or update them from an agent.

Manage Obsidian tasks via the TaskNotes plugin HTTP API.

Requirements

TaskNotes plugin installed in Obsidian
Enable HTTP API in TaskNotes settings:
- Open Obsidian Settings → TaskNotes
- Enable "HTTP API" toggle
- Set API port (default: 8080)
- API token: leave empty for no auth, or set a token for security
Environment variables in .env file at vault root (if using auth):

If TaskNotes has no auth token set, you don't need a .env file.
