hevy-workouts

hevy-workouts is a skill for Claude Code from chrisdoc/hevy-mcp. It costs 33 tokens per session (451 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A set of workflows for reading, summarizing, planning, logging, and updating workouts and body measurements in Hevy, a workout-tracking app.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review training summaries, inspect workouts or routines, examine exercises and measurements, and record or update workout information through Hevy.
Why use it?
It gives the coding agent a defined way to work with Hevy data while keeping account credentials out of code and conversations.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00033 $0.00451
Opus 5 $0.00016 $0.00226
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00090
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00045

Measured 9d ago against content hash b281f436bcf9, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-09, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

hevy-workouts scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Hevy workout workflows

Use the Hevy MCP connector for the user's authenticated Hevy account.

MCP server connection

This plugin registers the remote MCP server as hevy through the repository's .mcp.json file:

{
	"mcpServers": {
		"hevy": {
			"type": "http",
			"url": "https://mcp.hevy-mcp.dev/mcp",
			"oauth": true
		}
	}
}

When the plugin is installed, connect or authorize the hevy server in Claude's connector settings. The authorization page asks the user for their Hevy API key. Never put an API key in this skill, plugin files, or a conversation. If the server is unavailable, ask the user to complete the connector authorization instead of attempting to start a different server.

Use the tools and resources exposed by the hevy server for Hevy requests. Do not call the Hevy API directly or invent an alternative authentication path.

Analysis and retrieval

  • Prefer get-training-summary for a high-level trend across workouts and body measurements.
  • Use focused list and detail tools when the user asks about a particular workout, routine, exercise, or date.
  • State the date range and distinguish observations from recommendations.
  • Cite the workout or measurement evidence used in a summary when practical.

Mutations

  • Treat create and update tools as state-changing operations.
  • Before changing Hevy data, summarize the proposed change and confirm it with the user unless the user has already given an unambiguous instruction to make that exact change.
  • Never invent completed set results, workout times, body measurements, or other missing values. Ask the user for missing values.
  • Explain that create operations can produce duplicates if retried and that update operations replace existing values.

Health context

Workout and body-measurement data is personal information. Describe trends without diagnosing medical conditions, and recommend a qualified professional for medical advice.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
