Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00044 | $0.00473 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00018 | $0.00189 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00009 | $0.00095 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00004 | $0.00047 |
Grade A, and why
simplicity-audit scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
What it actually says
Simplicity Audit
Name the job, name the thinnest machine that does it, then split the rest into essential vs accidental.
This is not a bug hunt and not a deepening pass. Spec-match is not a defense. Method adapted from petekp/simplicity-audit (MIT).
In this repo, read REPO.md first.

Done when: the brief’s completion criterion holds.
Shared terms
Essential — the job requires it (HMAC on the raw body, OpenWorkflow instead of a custom queue, git as content SoT). Name it so nobody deletes it.
Accidental — leftover analogue, dual-write, ceremony, unused flexibility, facade after delete, migration autobiography.
A hypothetical seam (one adapter, no ADR) is often accidental. A deep module that does the job is essential — flattening it is the wrong fix. Vocabulary when needed: codebase-design.
What ships with it
4 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

simplicity-audit is a skill published in the GitHub repository ctxpipe-ai/ctxpipe (27 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 44 tokens to every session and 473 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
Other skills, from other repositories
qa-review
Validate that implemented code fully satisfies Story acceptance criteria, respects rules, and introduces no regressions. This is the hard quality gate — no pass means no delivery. Activate after implementation is complete.
consistency-check
Detect inconsistencies across related artefacts and governance constraints. Activate after story generation, after plan preparation, before implementation, or after remediation attempts. Reports issues — does not fix them.
tendril-review
Comprehensive post-change review of all modified files. Checks for code smells, cleanup opportunities, unnecessary legacy support, missing tests, broken tests, and obsolete tests. Use after a big change to leave the codebase in better health.
code-review
Performs multi-dimensional code review covering security, quality, spec compliance, and maintainability. Used when reviewing completed implementations or before merging changes.
maxsim-simplify
Reviews changed code for reuse opportunities, quality issues, and efficiency improvements, then fixes actionable items. Used after implementing features or when code feels over-engineered.
improve-codebase-architecture
Surface deepening refactors that turn shallow modules into deep ones, informed by CONTEXT.md and docs/adr/. Use when the user asks to improve architecture, find refactor candidates, raise testability, or make a codebase more agent-navigable. Skip for single localized fixes.
