tia-openness-roadmap

tia-openness-roadmap is a skill for Claude Code from Czarnak/totally-integrated-claude. It costs 56 tokens per session (2,469 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A routing guide for automating Siemens TIA Portal, the engineering software used to program and manage Siemens industrial controllers. It selects an appropriate path for interactive operations, scripts, C#, modules, or diagnostics.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan TIA Portal automation involving PLC projects, Python or C# implementations, MCP operations, Modular Application Creator modules, diagnostics, or analysis of exported PLC code.
Why use it?
It helps choose the right automation method while respecting the limits of each interface and the requested scope of work.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00056 $0.02469
Opus 5 $0.00028 $0.01234
Sonnet 5 $0.00011 $0.00494
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00247

Security

Grade A, and why

tia-openness-roadmap scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Goal

Route the task to the correct implementation path and load the right skill files.

Mandatory policy

  1. Honor the user's explicit implementation and scope constraints (including a request to skip MCP, Python, C#, or live operations).
  2. Otherwise prefer TIA Portal MCP for interactive, single-step read/write operations when available.
  3. Prefer TIA Scripting Python for scripted/multi-step automation only when the exact wrapper operation is documented.
  4. Use C# TIA Portal Openness when requested or when its exact installed API is the appropriate/required surface.
  5. Use MAC Module Builder for Modular Application Creator modules, lifecycle phases, .tiares, generated/custom ownership, and MAC packaging or qualification.
  6. Do not invent wrapper, Openness, MAC, or Module Builder methods.
  7. For multi-domain tasks, select all required skills.

Standalone analysis exclusion

For review/security/quality analysis of pasted or exported PLC code, use plc-code-analysis as a standalone skill and do not load this roadmap. That skill accepts raw SCL/ST, SIMATIC SD, and SimaticML without authorizing engineering writes or live TIA operations.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
