.agents/skills/dsh-official-plugin-artwork/SKILL.md

dsh-official-plugin-artwork is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from deepseek-ai/deepseek-harness. It costs 62 tokens per session (1,248 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A design guide for official DeepSeek Harness plugin artwork, including icons and optional feature-preview images.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when drawing, reviewing, or packaging plugin icons and larger previews for the Plugin Manager.
Why use it?
It provides rules for keeping new artwork consistent with existing icons while preserving correct proportions, lettering, transparency, language variants, and metadata.

About the project

DeepSeek Harness is an open-source framework for building and running AI agents, organized so that its functionality is provided through plugins. Developers use it to launch agent workflows through a local web interface or from source, while the catalogue add-ons extend the harness as plugins.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00062 $0.01248
Opus 5.5 $0.00025 $0.00499
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00250
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00125

Security

Grade A, and why

dsh-official-plugin-artwork scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Official plugin artwork

Draw recognizable artwork that belongs beside the existing official icons. Official and official experimental plugins share this visual language; the UI label communicates experimental status. This guidance does not replace designer approval.

Optional feature previews

Before drawing a larger image below a built-in bundle's description, read and follow adding a built-in plugin feature preview. It owns optionality, image count, design canvas, display size and position, language variants, asset limits, and acceptance. The guide also owns the embedded-raster exception for SVG previews; small icons remain geometry-only. The icon dimensions below do not apply to previews. Inspect the real feature, preserve its produced assets, and keep built-in previews in the Plugin Manager client assets directory and its internal bilingual map.

Establish the subject

  • Inspect the actual feature, its output, and its owning manifest before drawing. A badge-producing skill may need a tag, not a medal. Reuse designer-supplied assets; do not invent a brand mark or change product names, identifiers, or unrelated icons without approval.
  • Read the existing artwork and the nearest relevant package SVGs. Borrow one coherent treatment, not every reference's effects. Action icons remain with dsh-client-ui-ux.
  • Check every affected entry, list, detail, and component row. Bundle artwork and a component's name and icon can have separate metadata owners; changing one does not update the other.

Draw and refine

  1. Start simple. Use one dominant subject and only the detail needed to explain it. Related capabilities can share a metaphor; distinguish them through proportions, silhouette, or palette rather than extra panels, symbols, or badges.
  2. Judge optical size. Use width="36" height="36" viewBox="0 0 36 36". Center the artwork with deliberate margins; 18–22 units is a useful starting extent, not a requirement for every silhouette or wide text tag. The page renderer owns display sizes and outer tile framing. Do not bake that tile into the SVG or enlarge a toolbar glyph to fill it.
  3. Keep geometry consistent. Balance the main subject and secondary element. Align repeated marks and corners; keep tails and handles intentional. Refine one requested dimension at a time without changing approved parts.
  4. Use restrained color by default. Balance saturation and brightness with neighboring icons; prefer existing palettes such as Auto Authorization Review and Codex subagent. Reserve unusually vivid, bright, or neon colors for approved brand requirements, essential contrast, or explicit designer direction. Tune saturation separately from hue and lightness; do not make artwork gray or muddy merely to reduce saturation. Keep flat fills or short gradients and limited layering; avoid glow, drop shadows, glossy highlights, and emoji. Page CSS still uses semantic theme tokens.
  5. Align lettering by visible ink. Use consistent letterforms, cap height, baseline, weight, and spacing. Compare rendered stroke edges, not just path coordinates: stroke caps and joins can make equal coordinates appear unequal. Export lettering as paths without a font dependency, and keep it readable at actual size.
  6. Make empty areas genuinely transparent. A hollow lens must reveal the background, including where it overlaps another shape. Remove the underlying fill with a local mask or cutout; do not substitute a white or dark disk. Check both themes.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
