template-advanced-literature-review

template-advanced-literature-review is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from docxology/template. It costs 26 tokens per session (404 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A template for multi-stage literature reviews, where research papers are found, filtered, tracked by source, and checked across separate search phases.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it as a starting point for reviews that combine several retrieval phases, filters, provenance records, and validation steps.
Why use it?
It preserves where each paper came from and helps detect problems when different query phases or historical periods use different methods.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents).

Needs its repository: it runs a file that does not travel with it, so clone the repository first. The line is uv run python scripts/pipeline/stage_01_test.py --project templates/template_advanced_literature_review --project-only.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00026 $0.00404
Opus 5 $0.00013 $0.00202
Sonnet 5 $0.00005 $0.00081
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00040

Security

Grade A, and why

template-advanced-literature-review scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

template-advanced-literature-review

Load this project-scoped skill when working inside projects/templates/template_advanced_literature_review/ or forking it into a new phased literature-review pipeline.

When to Use

  • A review requires distinct query phases or methodological eras.
  • Papers must retain discovery-phase and cross-phase provenance.
  • Phase-specific deterministic or optional LLM filters need validation.

Quick Reference

uv run python scripts/pipeline/stage_01_test.py --project templates/template_advanced_literature_review --project-only
uv run python scripts/pipeline/stage_02_analysis.py --project templates/template_advanced_literature_review
uv run python scripts/pipeline/stage_03_render.py --project templates/template_advanced_literature_review
uv run python scripts/pipeline/stage_04_validate.py --project templates/template_advanced_literature_review

Pitfalls

  • Stage 01 retrieval is live network work; the tracked corpus is an evidence snapshot.
  • Keep phase logic in src/multi_phase/ and numbered scripts thin.
  • Use real local HTTP servers in tests; never introduce mock frameworks.
  • Run stage 11 before stage 10 when adding full-text reproducibility evidence.

Optional gap-filler search (Monid)

Prefer MCP connectors and configured retrieval keys first. Monid (infrastructure/search/monid/) is infrastructure-only gap filler — see PRICING.md. Offline deep_research replay remains the exemplar default for long-form synthesis.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
