Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00089 $0.03991
Opus 5 $0.00044 $0.01996
Sonnet 5 $0.00018 $0.00798
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00399

Security

Grade A, and why

stoic-right-action scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Stoic Right Action

Every day brings dozens of crossroads -- moments where the easy path and the right path diverge, sometimes subtly, sometimes violently. The Stoics had one question at each: what is the right thing to do? Not what is profitable, not what is popular, not what is safe. What is right. Marcus Aurelius governed an empire with this single compass. Epictetus taught it from a room he could barely afford. Seneca deployed it while navigating one of the most treacherous courts in Roman history. The question never changed. The circumstances were irrelevant. For the entrepreneur, who faces a relentless sequence of decisions under uncertainty, this is not philosophical decoration. It is operational infrastructure.

The Framework

Stoic ethics rests on four cardinal virtues, each one a load-bearing pillar without which the structure collapses. These are not aspirational ideals. They are daily practices -- habits of judgment that the Stoics treated with the same seriousness a pilot treats a pre-flight checklist. Marcus Aurelius distilled the entire edifice to a single sentence: "What is your vocation? To be a good person." The simplicity is deceptive. The execution is the work of a lifetime.

The Four Cardinal Virtues

Courage (Andreia): The capacity to act rightly under conditions of risk, fear, or social pressure. Courage is not the absence of fear but the judgment that something else matters more. For founders, this manifests in hard conversations -- telling investors the truth about burn rate, firing a popular but toxic executive, admitting a product direction was wrong. As Seneca observed: "Good people will do what they find honorable to do, even if it requires hard work; they'll do it even if it causes them injury; they'll do it even if it will bring danger."

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
