expo-orchestrator

expo-orchestrator is a skill for Claude Code from fatihkan/badi. It costs 74 tokens per session (1,488 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide for planning and managing an Expo and React Native mobile app from setup through release. It helps choose between managed, bare, and custom development workflows and points each task to the relevant Expo tool.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create a project, select a workflow and packages, connect EAS, plan testing and store releases, and choose the right guide for routing, builds, updates, or native code.
Why use it?
It reduces confusion about which Expo approach, package, or release process fits a project. It also keeps setup, account connection, and publishing decisions in one workflow.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00074 $0.01488
Opus 5 $0.00037 $0.00744
Sonnet 5 $0.00015 $0.00298
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00149

Security

Grade A, and why

expo-orchestrator scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

expo-orchestrator

The main orchestrator for Expo CLI + EAS-based React Native projects. Guides workflow selection, project setup, package selection, and release strategy. Routes to the other expo-* skills.

What It Does

  • Workflow selection: a trade-off matrix for the Managed / Bare / Dev Client decision
  • Project setup: npx create-expo-app + template selection (default / tabs / bare-minimum)
  • Package selection: a list of critical Expo SDK packages + alternatives evaluation
  • EAS account connection: eas login, eas whoami, project ID management
  • Release planning: TestFlight/internal track → production flow
  • Skill routing: subcategory selection and in-family delegation

Routing Matrix

Question / Situation Which skill?
File-based routing, deep linking, layout expo-router
eas build profile setup, credentials expo-eas-build
App Store / Play Store submit expo-eas-submit
OTA update, channel, runtime version expo-eas-update
withInfoPlist, withAndroidManifest plugin expo-config-plugin
Managed → bare transition, prebuild expo-prebuild
Writing Swift/Kotlin native modules expo-modules
Dev build vs Expo Go decision expo-dev-client
Push notification (FCM/APNs) expo-notifications
app.json / app.config.ts settings expo-app-config
Cache, version mismatch, build errors expo-troubleshooting

Workflow Selection Matrix

Managed Workflow

When: quick prototyping, no need to write native code, Expo SDK packages suffice, OTA updates are critical. Limit: you can't use 3rd-party native libs (only those a config plugin supports); EAS Build is required for the App Store.

Bare Workflow

When: writing native modules, a 3rd-party iOS/Android SDK is required, custom build steps, familiarity with Xcode/Android Studio. Limit: Expo Go won't work (dev-client required), native upgrades are on you, OTA updates need EAS Update + runtime-version discipline.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
