service-de-channel-create

service-de-channel-create is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from forcedotcom/sf-skills. It costs 200 tokens per session (5,062 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

An internal Salesforce workflow for creating an inactive Enhanced MessagingChannel for WhatsApp, LINE, Apple Business Chat, Facebook, or SMS. It creates the channel record and handles type-specific setup needed during insertion.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it as part of a larger messaging setup process when a new WhatsApp, LINE, Apple Business Chat, Facebook, or SMS channel must be inserted.
Why use it?
It gathers the differences between messaging services into one creation step, so later routing, consent, and activation workflows can work from a standard channel record.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00200 $0.05062
Opus 5 $0.00100 $0.02531
Sonnet 5 $0.00040 $0.01012
Haiku 4.5 $0.00020 $0.00506

Security

Grade A, and why

service-de-channel-create scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

What this skill does

Given a {MESSAGE_TYPE} and its inputs, creates a MessagingChannel record with PlatformType=Enhanced, IsActive=false. The same server-side path (LiveMessageSetupServiceImpl.addChannelLiveMessageChannelsUtil.findOrCreateCsotMessagingChannel) also inserts a MessagingChannelUsage row (DeploymentType=Conversation, DeploymentStatus=New on fresh insert — Disabled on a channel that was previously activated then deactivated) — we get it for free.

One primary path for every type: Connect REST API. POST /services/data/v{V}/connect/livemessage/channels with an org OAuth session managed by sf api request rest. Public, sanctioned, live since API v66+. No Aura session, no token extracted into shell state.

Idempotent on (MessagingPlatformKey, MessageType) — re-firing with the same platform key returns the existing channel's id. This matters because MessagingChannel records are not deletable via standard means, so the preflight (Stage 1) is the practical idempotency guard.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
