Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00099 $0.02005
Opus 5 $0.00049 $0.01002
Sonnet 5 $0.00020 $0.00401
Haiku 4.5 $0.00010 $0.00200

Security

Grade A, and why

staircase-mcp-expert scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Staircase MCP Expert

What this skill is for

The Staircase AI MCP is how every account-intelligence skill in this plugin reads customer signals — engagement, sentiment, risk, expansion, communications, named stakeholders, AI analyses. The tools work well, but the query surface is uneven: OR composition isn't supported, combined-criteria queries return empty, the MCP doesn't compute abstract scores, and there's a 15-account cap on parallel per-account analysis that's commonly misunderstood.

This skill is the canonical reference for sibling skills. Read it (or its references) before composing Staircase queries you haven't run recently in this session.

When to invoke

Direct invocation triggers:

  • "How do I query Staircase for X?"
  • "What fields can I filter on?"
  • "Which insights are queryable?"
  • "Translate this business question into a Staircase query plan."
  • "Rank my accounts by [criterion]."

Sibling-skill reference triggers (these skills MUST read this before querying):

  • gainsight-csm-book-pulse — uses the priority weighting verbatim
  • gainsight-meeting-processor — uses the analyst data models for context fan-out
  • gainsight-exec-renewal-radar — uses tier-stratified scoring
  • gainsight-renewal-priority-planner — uses composite + save-into-expansion bonus
  • gainsight-account-workspace / gainsight-account-handoff-onboarding — uses per-account analyses
  • Any staircase-* cross-account skill (pattern-hunter, at-risk-renewals, expansion-scout) — uses field catalog + anti-patterns

Top patterns (the 5 things you'll do 80% of the time)

1. Single-criterion list query (consistently works)

Decompose any complex question into single-criterion ask queries. AND/OR composition fails — decompose first, intersect client-side.

"List my accounts where [single criterion]."
"Which of my accounts are flagged as [insight]?"

Full phrasing patterns + validated success rates in references/query-patterns.md.

2. Unified scoped fan-out query (book + flags in one call)

For CSM book-of-business work, pull the scoped list + insight booleans in one structured query — collapses 6 sequential queries into 1.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
