codexkit-high-signal-review

codexkit-high-signal-review is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from hoavdc/CodexKit. It costs 30 tokens per session (452 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A risk-focused code-review guide for examining a diff, branch, or generated patch. It prioritizes bugs, regressions, security and operational gaps, and tests that do not cover changed behavior.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review code changes, assess release risk, check verification coverage, and report evidence-based findings with severity and remediation steps.
Why use it?
It directs attention toward issues that could materially break software or its rollout instead of producing a long list of minor comments.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00030 $0.00452
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00226
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00090
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00045

Security

Grade A, and why

codexkit-high-signal-review scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

High Signal Review

Use this skill when reviewing a diff, branch, or generated patch and the goal is to find meaningful issues quickly.

Review posture

  • findings first
  • severity ordered
  • evidence over speculation
  • missing tests are real risks, not optional notes

Workflow

  1. Understand the user-visible behavior change.
  2. Inspect the touched code and nearby boundaries.
  3. Look for correctness, data, security, and rollout risks.
  4. Check whether tests actually cover the changed behavior.
  5. Report only issues that materially matter.

Output

  • list findings first
  • each finding should name the risk and affected area
  • keep summary short and secondary

Use references/severity-rubric.md to rank issues consistently.

Quality Criteria

  • Every finding is tied to a specific evidence source (log, test, metric)
  • Pass/fail criteria are binary and measurable — no subjective judgments
  • Severity levels are assigned with clear thresholds
  • Remediation steps are provided for all critical and high findings

Verification (4C)

Check Question
Correctness Are all pass/fail criteria applied against the correct standard or rule?
Completeness Were all required dimensions or checklist items evaluated?
Context-fit Does the verification scope match the actual risk level of the deliverable?
Consequence If this passed verification but had a hidden flaw, what is the worst-case impact?

Edge Cases

  • Incomplete data for full assessment — Document which checks were limited and flag for re-verification when data becomes available.
  • Ambiguous pass/fail criteria — Request clarification from the standard owner before scoring. Mark as 'Needs Review'.
  • Multiple overlapping standards — Identify the governing standard and note where others diverge.

Changelog

  • v1.0.0 — Initial release

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
