Getting it into your agent
It runs from inside its repository, so the clone comes first — what it calls does not travel with the file alone.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00063 | $0.01023 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00025 | $0.00409 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00013 | $0.00205 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00102 |
Grade A, and why
7onic-setup scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 104 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
7onic Setup — detect, configure, verify
Bring the current project to a working 7onic state. This skill is idempotent: when everything is already correct it changes nothing and reports a passing checklist. Never guess — every verdict below must come from reading the actual file.
Step 1 — Detect the project
Read package.json and record:
- Install route:
@7onic-ui/reactin dependencies → npm route- a
7onic.jsonfile at the root and/or components under the project'scomponents/ui/→ CLI route (npx 7onic addsource copies) - neither → go to Step 4 (fresh install)
- Tailwind major:
tailwindcssversion —^4→ v4,^3→ v3. No Tailwind at all → tokens still work as plain CSS variables (@7onic-ui/tokens/css/all.css), but component classes need Tailwind: say so and stop after wiring the CSS. - Framework:
next→ Next.js (global CSS usuallyapp/globals.css),vite→ Vite (usuallysrc/index.css). @7onic-ui/tokensmust be present on both routes — it ships the CSS variables everything depends on.
Step 2 — Verify (and fix) the CSS wiring
Open the project's global CSS file and check against the matrix. Add only what is missing; never duplicate an import that already exists.
Tailwind v4:
@import "tailwindcss";
@import '@7onic-ui/tokens/tailwind/v4.css';
@source "../node_modules/@7onic-ui/react/dist";
- The
@sourcepath is relative to the CSS file — recompute it for the actual file location (npm route only; CLI-copied sources are scanned as normal project files).
Tailwind v3 — CSS plus config:
@import '@7onic-ui/tokens/css/all.css';
@tailwind base;
@tailwind components;
@tailwind utilities;
tailwind.config.js must have the preset and, on the npm route, the dist
glob in content:
presets: [require('@7onic-ui/tokens/tailwind/v3-preset')],
content: ['./node_modules/@7onic-ui/react/dist/**/*.{js,mjs}', /* app globs */],
Notes that prevent common misdiagnoses:
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

7onic-setup is a skill published in the GitHub repository itonys/7onic (5 stars, last pushed 7d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 63 tokens to every session and 1,023 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-09.
