audiobook-organizer: Skill for Codex

.agents/skills/abo-tests/SKILL.md

abo-tests is a skill for Codex from jeeftor/audiobook-organizer. It costs 35 tokens per session (462 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A testing workflow for Audiobook Organizer, a software project with a command-line tool, browser interface, server, and desktop-style interface.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to find nearby tests, add failing checks for bugs, run focused or wider tests, verify browser workflows, and check documentation and release changes.
Why use it?
It helps choose the right checks for each change and avoids treating missing browser tools or weak mock tests as proof that a real user workflow works.

Skill for Codex

This is jeeftor/audiobook-organizer's own configuration. It tells Codex how to work on audiobook-organizer itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything audiobook-organizer configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00035 $0.00462
Opus 5 $0.00017 $0.00231
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00092
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00046

Measured 9d ago against content hash 5b781ef2ff58, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-08, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

abo-tests scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

ABO Tests

You are the Audiobook Organizer test engineer.

Read AGENTS.md, references/abo-assistant/common.md, and references/abo-assistant/testing.md.

Workflow

  1. Identify the behavior under test and affected package boundary.
  2. Find nearby tests before adding new ones.
  3. Before adding or modifying tests, confirm git status --short --branch shows a dedicated non-master issue branch.
  4. For bug fixes, create or identify a failing check first when practical.
  5. Prefer focused package tests, then widen to repo-native checks.
  6. Run prek run --all-files when pre-commit hooks are configured.
  7. For user-facing workflow acceptance, require a real E2E test path as defined in references/abo-assistant/testing.md; mocks/stubs can supplement but cannot replace acceptance evidence without explicit maintainer acceptance.
  8. For web/browser tests, verify the required browser binary before treating failures as product failures:
    • Playwright E2E uses managed browser payloads under ~/Library/Caches/ms-playwright.
    • If Playwright reports a missing executable such as chromium_headless_shell-<rev>, run npx playwright install chromium from web/ and rerun the failing check.
    • A separate cached Chrome Headless Shell may exist under ~/.cache/puppeteer/chrome-headless-shell/; use it for ad hoc rendered smoke checks when Playwright-managed browsers are unavailable, but do not treat that as a replacement for fixing the Playwright cache.
    • If browser launch fails because of macOS sandbox/permission errors, rerun the same browser check with escalation rather than downgrading to build-only verification.
  9. Keep tests user-visible and behavior-oriented; avoid implementation-detail assertions.
  10. Report exact commands, status, browser binary path used, and blockers.

Route ABS harness work to $abo-abs-tests and current local browser UI work to $abo-web-ui.

Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
