dotnet-testing-private-internal-testing

dotnet-testing-private-internal-testing is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from kevintsengtw/dotnet-testing-agent-skills. It costs 190 tokens per session (2,627 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide to testing private and internal members in .NET, including design changes, friend-assembly access, and reflection. Private members are available only inside their class; internal members are limited to the same project.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for testing internal algorithms, configuring InternalsVisibleTo, assessing testability, and handling legacy code where private methods cannot yet be refactored.
Why use it?
Important logic can be difficult to test directly when it is hidden behind a class’s public interface. The guide helps choose between redesigning the code, granting test access, or using reflection temporarily.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00190 $0.02627
Opus 5 $0.00095 $0.01314
Sonnet 5 $0.00038 $0.00525
Haiku 4.5 $0.00019 $0.00263

Measured 6d ago against content hash 56774e3a6937, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-06, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

dotnet-testing-private-internal-testing scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

完整重構範例與策略模式程式碼請參考 references/refactoring-patterns.md

Internal

// 在主專案中的 AssemblyInfo.cs 或任何類別檔案中
using System.Runtime.CompilerServices;

[assembly: InternalsVisibleTo("YourProject.Tests")]
[assembly: InternalsVisibleTo("YourProject.IntegrationTests")]

<!-- YourProject.csproj -->
<ItemGroup>
  <AssemblyAttribute Include="System.Runtime.CompilerServices.InternalsVisibleToAttribute">
    <_Parameter1>$(AssemblyName).Tests</_Parameter1>
  </AssemblyAttribute>
</ItemGroup>

方法三:使用 Meziantou.MSBuild.InternalsVisibleTo(推薦)

<!-- YourProject.csproj -->
<ItemGroup>
  <PackageReference Include="Meziantou.MSBuild.InternalsVisibleTo" Version="1.0.2">
    <PrivateAssets>all</PrivateAssets>
    <IncludeAssets>runtime; build; native; contentfiles; analyzers</IncludeAssets>
  </PackageReference>
</ItemGroup>

<ItemGroup>
  <InternalsVisibleTo Include="$(AssemblyName).Tests" />
  <InternalsVisibleTo Include="$(AssemblyName).IntegrationTests" />
  <InternalsVisibleTo Include="DynamicProxyGenAssembly2" Key="002400000480000094..." />
</ItemGroup>

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
