Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5 | $0.00095 | $0.00767 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00048 | $0.00383 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00019 | $0.00153 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00010 | $0.00077 |
Grade A, and why
nextcloud-shares scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 82 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Nextcloud Shares
Domain-typed access to the Nextcloud Sharing API (OCS files_sharing) for
granting and auditing access to files and folders. Prefer the nextcloud_sharing
tool over raw OCS calls — it carries the share-type/permission conventions.
When to use
- List all current shares (audit who can access what).
- Create a share on a path — public link, user, or group.
- Revoke a share by id.
When NOT to use
- Browse, read, upload, or move files →
nextcloud-files. - Store file bytes/text in the knowledge graph →
nextcloud-ingest.
Prerequisites & environment
Connect via the mcp-client skill against the nextcloud-agent MCP server.
| Variable | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
NEXTCLOUD_URL |
✅ | Base URL of the Nextcloud instance |
NEXTCLOUD_USERNAME |
✅ | WebDAV/OCS user |
NEXTCLOUD_PASSWORD |
✅ | Password or app password |
TLS_PROFILE / TLS_PROFILE_REF |
optional | AgentConfig transport profile; peer verification is mandatory |
MCP_TOOL_MODE selects the condensed vs. verbose surface. SHARINGTOOL gates
this tool category.
Tools & actions
Prefer the condensed tool; action + a params_json JSON string.
| Condensed tool | Actions |
|---|---|
nextcloud_sharing |
list_shares, create_share, delete_share |
Key parameters
path— server-relative path to share (create_share).share_type—3= public link,0= user,1= group (default3).permissions— bitmask:1read,2update,4create,8delete,16share (default1= read-only).share_id— required fordelete_share.
Recipes (params_json)
List all shares:
{}
Create a read-only public link on a file:
{"path":"Documents/report.pdf","share_type":3,"permissions":1}
Revoke a share:
{"share_id":"42"}
Gotchas
params_jsonis a string of JSON, not an object — serialize it.share_typeandpermissionsare integers (OCS choice/bitmask values), not labels.- A public-link
create_sharereturns the generated linkurlin its response — read it back rather than constructing it.
What ships with it
1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

nextcloud-shares is a skill published in the GitHub repository Knuckles-Team/nextcloud-agent (0 stars, last pushed 7d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 95 tokens to every session and 767 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
