agent-auto-sci-data-viz

agent-auto-sci-data-viz is a skill for Codex from Lzy599775/agent-auto-sci-skills. It costs 106 tokens per session (471 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for exploring data, choosing statistical tests, and creating clear charts, tables, maps, and dashboards for research.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to audit datasets, plan analyses, measure effects, design publication figures and tables, create interactive dashboards, and write self-contained captions.
Why use it?
It helps catch missing or unusual data, match analyses to the claims they support, and make figures understandable and reproducible.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00106 $0.00471
Opus 5 $0.00053 $0.00235
Sonnet 5 $0.00021 $0.00094
Haiku 4.5 $0.00011 $0.00047

Security

Grade A, and why

agent-auto-sci-data-viz scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Agent Auto Sci Data Viz

Use this subskill whenever data, tables, or figures are central to the output.

Fast Workflow

  1. Inspect file types and schema.
  2. Audit missingness, outliers, duplicates, ranges, and units.
  3. Define each table or figure by the claim it should support.
  4. Choose statistical tests and effect sizes before writing results.
  5. Use publication-safe palettes and legible dimensions.
  6. Export reproducible figures and record code paths.
  7. Write captions that stand alone.

Read references/data_analysis_visualization_workflows.md.

For full paper projects, this skill owns EDA, statistical-test reporting, robustness visualization, table shells, publication figure planning, figure-title/caption checks, and final visual evidence audits. It should work with agent-auto-sci-geospatial for maps and with agent-auto-sci-scicomm for figure narrative.

For deeper K-Dense-style encapsulation:

  • references/k_dense_data_viz_mapping.md: how EDA, statistics, scientific visualization, matplotlib, seaborn, and network analysis are adapted.
  • references/review_bibliometric_figure_system.md: figure system for review, bibliometric, policy agenda, and sport geography empirical manuscripts.
  • exploratory-data-analysis
  • statistical-analysis
  • matplotlib
  • seaborn
  • scientific-visualization
  • networkx
  • xlsx

Must Not Do

  • Do not make decorative charts that do not answer a research question.
  • Do not choose tests after seeing desired significance.
  • Do not use color palettes that fail grayscale or colorblind checks.
  • Do not let map/figure aesthetics override evidence clarity.
Files

What ships with it

4 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
