wo-intake

wo-intake is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from microsoft/cat-agent-skills. It costs 71 tokens per session (664 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A work-order intake step that combines a job record with its equipment information and turns them into structured inputs for later maintenance assistance.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps assemble a work-order packet, identify the equipment and its criticality, normalize problem terms, select the relevant procedure, and list required parts.
Why use it?
It removes the manual work of finding the right asset, preserving its importance and location, and matching the problem to the applicable procedure and parts.

About the project

microsoft/cat-agent-skills is a static website that catalogs reusable instruction sets and related packages for AI agents. People use it to search, filter, rate, and download skills for Cowork, Copilot Studio, and Scout, along with Copilot plugins and Scout automations. The catalogue entries are the skills, instructions, plugins, and settings displayed by the site.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00071 $0.00664
Opus 5.5 $0.00028 $0.00266
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00014 $0.00133
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00066

Security

Grade A, and why

wo-intake scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Work-Order Intake

Purpose

Turn the current work order and its asset record into structured contract inputs: the work-order identity, the asset identity and criticality, the normalized issue keywords, the applicable SOP, and the parts that SOP calls for. This is the entry payload every later skill builds on.

When to use

  • "Assemble the packet for WO-4507" / "pull up the work order for compressor C-500".
  • "Get me everything I need for this work order."
  • Start of any Work Order Assistant run.

Inputs

  • Work order (TXT / JSON / CMMS extract): WO id, asset, problem description, type.
  • Asset register (XLSX / CSV): asset name, class (A/B/C), redundancy, location.
  • Emits inputs for contract mfg.work-order-assist.v1.

Steps

  1. Resolve the asset tag in the asset register; carry its asset_class, asset_criticality, redundancy, and location onto the contract.
  2. Map the free-text problem to the controlled issue_keywords vocabulary in references/sop-library.md / references/similar-work-rules.md #1 (e.g. "keeps unloading, low discharge" -> unloading, low_discharge_pressure). Never invent a keyword.
  3. Select the SOP that addresses the issue (references/sop-library.md) and carry its sop_ref (doc, section, default_remedy) and required_parts[] onto the contract.
  4. Produce wo-intake.json with contract_version, work_order_id, asset_id, component, asset_criticality, issue_keywords[], sop_ref, required_parts[], and an empty history{}.

Output

wo-intake.json conforming to the contract inputs — the entry payload of the flow.

Grounding requirements

Every issue keyword cites the source line (work order or problem note). Asset attributes cite the asset-register row. The SOP and its required parts cite references/sop-library.md.

Constraints

  • Issue-keyword vocabulary is fixed by the references #1 — map, do not guess.
  • Do not rank prior work or check parts here — that is the Analyze skills' job (engine/LLM split).
  • Never fabricate an asset attribute; a missing tag or criticality is an escalation.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
